Actually everything I posted can be backed up with a little research on WebMD and many other websites. We all have to do what works for our individual self. Rudeness because someone posts something that you don't agree with is ignorance and not helpful. Starvation works for some people but that doesn't mean it's healthy or…

Nope, sorry. It worked for me!

Eating several small meals per day instead of one large meal will help the metabolism. If your body thinks it never gets food, it will hold on to what it gets when it finally gets it. Once it is used to being fed every couple of hours, it will burn it because it knows it will be fed in a couple of hours again. Also, if you…

I also have several Beachbody programs as well as the 21 Day Fix. I like it when I can stick to it, but I get a little bored because my meal prepping tends to be the same thing every day for a week. I can't wait to order Cize next month though!!! (Disclaimer: I am a Beachbody coach, not trying to sell anything though!!)

I have it but I haven't used it yet. I am currently on Week 7 of Les Mills Pump and love it!

I have one of those. I have recently upgraded to an elliptical because I prefer it but when I did use the Gazelle, I felt it the next day. I Gazelled through a whole movie when I first bought it and my legs definitely felt it the next day. Of course, there are better machines but I don't think it's a total waste.

Hubby and I did 2 sprints, PA Sprint in July and Carolina Sprint in March 2013. We haven't signed up for one this year, family health issues will keep us from going out of town for quite a while. We finished both Sprints but they were definitely not easy!!

Hubby and I got a new weight bench with separate adjustable rack for squats and bench press and I found a used Nordictrack Elliptical!!! I'm in love!!! Our weight room is almost complete!

There is a group discussion about starting Turbo Fire in January. You should join that one. Several people are going to start the program in the next couple of days!!!!

Walking and bodyweight exercise, pushups (on knees if necessary), squats, etc. A small set of dumbbells (3 to 5 pounds). Only after consulting with a doctor. We don't want to take your heart or asthma for granted!!! Good luck!!!
-
Use it!!! Use the modifiers if you have to but have fun with it. What better way to start the New Year than with a free gym membership!! It was a gift, you have nothing to lose and the videos are from 10 minutes to 55 minutes each. Pick your time of day that works for you and start marking off your schedule.

All of the Beachbody programs include a schedule to help you get started and which DVD to do when. They start out with the easier programs and slowly work you up to the harder DVDs. I don't know if Turbofire has a specific strength training or not but you don't have to use weights to be considered strength training.…

If you like Beachbody, they have several workout programs that are 30 minutes. Look at those. It's always best to stick with what you actually like to do instead of forcing yourself to do something you don't like.

This is not related to weight loss but my sister had her gall bladder taken out in August. They thought she had one obstructing her bile duct but when they went in, there were no gall stones. Several procedures, tests, biopsies later and she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She is 34. Everything pointed to gall stones…

You can't teach Zumba unless you are a licensed instructor, it's a big no no! But there are tons of dance cardio videos on Youtube that you could learn and then do, but you can't refer to it as Zumba.

Yes, sometimes we are full of it when we first wake up!!! lol :P

WAFFLE, you didn't "lose" 5 pounds, you sweated it out, once you replenish the lost fluids, your scale will show that 5 lbs. is back. Also, weighing heavy after eating a heavy meal doesn't mean you have "gained" that weight, it just means that the food is still in your system from the night before. Weighing once a week…

Ditto!! Get him to go to a doctor. My brother in law started losing a bunch of weight and when he went to the doctor, they found out he WAS diabetic!!

Oooohhh!! Gelato!! I was in Italy for 10 days last summer, a lot of gelato was consumed!!!! It was an everyday treat!! And pizza!!!
-
I just leave mine at the lowest weight. If I happen to lose any and drop below that weight, then I will log it. Otherwise, I'd get too depressed that my log says "you have gained".

WooHoo Spartan!!! I'm registered for one in July, did the Charlotte Spartan Sprint last year, and I have completed 15 total races since October 2011. 13 5k's, 1 Spartan Sprint and 1 small OCR. My fastest 5k time was the last one I did at Color Me Rad a couple of weeks ago, I timed myself and got under 32 minutes.

I am a paralegal in a law office. I'm the only "assistant" to two attorney's, one of which is hardly every here. I stock the fridge (on my dime) so that I don't have to pack a lunch or snacks and no one brings free food to my office. I feel left out!!! The only bad day I have is Friday's when I work in another office and…

I work in a law office, very small firm. I'm the only paralegal for 2 attorneys, one of which is never in my office. I have a small hole in the wall "kitchen" with full size fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Wal-Mart is just up the road so about once a month I go and stock up on Lean Cuisines, Healthy Choice, bananas,…

Gryffindor please!!!

I have completed 13 races since October 2012, 11 of these were 5ks, 2 were obstacle courses. The first 5k was around 46 minutes. My fastest is 32 minutes. I have placed a couple of times for my age group. Anything under an hour for your first race is good. I have found that 5ks are either a love them or hate them type…

Your healthy journey has turned into an unhealthy one. You need balance.

Don't skip meals today. Try to eat healthy for the rest of the day and get in some exercise. Fasting for the rest of the day could throw you off track even further. When you finally do eat, you'll end up with another bender. Start fresh tomorrow with a healthy, low calorie breakfast and chalk it up to a learning experience.

Nuts, yogurt and grapes. I measure out portion baggies so I can just grab and go, depending on what I feel like.
