  • I've lost 90 and I feel more coordinated and light in my feet. But that in and of itself felt strange at first.
  • I am always clear with my kids that I am trying to be healthy, not that I'm trying to lose weight. When they ask me why I exercise, I say the same thing. I just try to put the focus on the importance of having a healthy body rather than just trying to be skinny or lose weight. I talk about mindful eating with them as well…
  • I dress different after my 90 lb loss for sure. One of the biggest differences is my boobs are so much smaller so I don't have mondo cleavage anymore with low cut shirts. I used to have to layer or wear higher cut shirts because of the cleavage issue but now I can wear more variety in necklines and not worry about looking…
  • I went on vacation for 2 weeks. Half the trip was at Disney where I went to several all you can eat restaurants and they were expensive so I wanted to eat! Of course we walked a lot but I'm pretty active in general so I didn't feel like it was a crazy amount of activity. The second half of my trip was Christmas and beach.…
  • I understand a lot of what you are going through. I started at 212 (250 at my highest after the birth of one of my kids) and lost 90 to get down to maintenance range of 122-127. I will say that I lost weight in a fairly healthy way, not starving myself or restricting the types of foods I ate. I still ate "junk food" every…
  • I'm 5'2.5" and 125 lbs. Depending on brand, I wear anything from 3/4 to 6. I carry more weight in my lower body so I can wear XS tops.
  • Yeah you don't have much to lose so decrease your goal to lose a half pound a week. The extra calories you burn from nursing at that age are going to vary a lot from person to person. I think I ate back an extra 100 calories a day once my son turned 1 and probably could have safely done closer to 200 because I still lost…
  • I love my smaller boobs!! Technically I measure at a 32c but (just being real) it's mostly just loose skin that's making them measure that big. I wear an XS sports bra and I look extremely flat chested wearing that. I've nursed 4 babies and was obese so my boobs are just saggy loose skin after all that. But they used to be…
  • Are you weighing your food?
  • Losing 1 lb in 3 weeks isn't bad though, still a loss! It's going to slow at this point in your loss. I'm 5'2.5" and 124 right now. I sort of want to get to 120 but I love food and get tired of eating at a deficit. So I've been focusing more on fitness since I'm at a healthy weight.
  • I use a flavored coffee and unsweetened almond milk with a sugar free caramel syrup. Mmmm! I prefer cold brew so I usually have it iced. It's like 20-30 calories totally depending on how much I drink.
  • I bought a bikini last year for the first time in my whole life. I've always been overweight or obese so I never wore one. I'm also 5'2.5" and got down to 125 about a year ago. I have tons of stretch marks and loose skin on my tummy from having 4 babies but I decided just to go for it. The more I wore it, the more…
  • I don't find all cardio boring, but I do find elliptical machines, treadmills, and other stationary equipment ridiculously boring. Maybe if I had room in my living room for a machine so I could watch my own tv shows it would be different. But I workout in the basement and don't have access to a tv. If I go to the gym, I…
  • Honestly by the time my toddler was that age, I didn't really eat much back for breastfeeding calories. Maybe an extra 100-200 a day if you're still nursing a few times a day. But if you're losing weight doing what you are currently doing, I wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't be too worried about milk supply since it's…
  • I went on the mirena a few weeks ago so we'll see how it goes. I have been in maintenance for a year but had put on a few pounds prior to getting the mirena. I've already taken off that weight since getting it in 3 weeks ago so it seems like I was able to lose weight at a pretty typical rate. My appetite has felt normal…
  • Every time I saw a picture of myself I was horrified and would try to lose weight. It just never stuck, I couldn't stay motivated long enough to keep it up. I made many attempts over a decade of obesity. It wasn't until I started having weird heart palpitations that were becoming more and more frequent that I got serious.…
  • I'm not crazy about milk in general. I just use it in my coffee or in my cereal. So I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk since it's low in calories. Every once in a while I'll add 1% to my coffee because it's higher in protein than almond.
  • I had a mirena put in 3 weeks ago and I've been bleeding ever since. Normal?! Sometimes just spotting, sometimes heavy enough for a tampon.
  • Like others have said, I weigh the ingredients and enter them into myfitnesspal recipe builder. I weigh the pot/pan. When the meal is cooked, I weigh the entire pan and subtract the weight of the pan (that I wrote down previously). In the recipe builder, it asks how many servings so let's say it's 8 servings. If the weight…
  • I lost 90 lbs and I've been in maintenance for a year. Most of my coworkers now didn't know me when I was obese. I made a comment to a coworker about something weight loss related and she replied "oh but you're tiny, you don't have to think about this stuff" or something to that effect. She wasn't being judgy or rude, I…
  • I aimed to be at the top of a healthy bmi which was 137 for my height. Once I got there, I didn't feel done. I took a maintenance break for a couple months and then lost another 15 pounds and now hover around the 125 mark. I could still lose more fat but I'm happy where I am at this point.
  • One way that makes it harder is because it's forever. When you're trying to lose weight, you have a goal in mind so it gives you something to work towards. In maintenance, you're still working hard but staying the same weight. Many people try to find more fitness related goals to have something to work towards. On the flip…
  • I'm 5'2.5" and 125 lbs. I lose slowly on 1500 calories a day, plus exercise calories. So usually I'm eating 1600-1700 a day if I exercise that day. I'm just trying to get into the lower 120s after being in maintenance for the past year at 125. It's definitely hard seeing consistent progress when you're already small. I…
  • Hahaha yep been there! We were using natural family planning after I had my 3rd baby. I am extremely familiar with my cycles and tracking ovulation because we tried for over 2 years to get pregnant with our first. Unfortunately one cycle I ended up ovulating way later than normal and bam! 4th baby lol. We've learned not to…
  • Height: 5'2.5" Weight: 125 Bmi: 22 Clothing size: Small. Pants I'm usually in a 6 although occasionally a 4 will fit too.
  • I'm a therapist and there can be lots of effective ways to work with people who have difficulties surrounding food. It may be helpful for you! I personally worked with a therapist when I was in college because of food issues and found it extremely beneficial.
  • I used the food entry for breastfeeding and it worked for me. Using the food entries is nice because you can use entries that give you fewer calories as baby starts nursing less. Eating at maintenance is a good idea too though, would be less work. But do whichever option works best for you!
  • Have you had a period yet? I always feel that way a few days prior. I do try to stick to my calorie goals despite the bottomless pit feeling but usually end up losing weight before my period for whatever reason (I'm in maintenance). If I was breastfeeding still, I might consider increasing my calories a bit if I was…
