  • Work out more, and you get to eat more. I couldn't go a day at this point without working out -- I'm too used to eating the extra calories.
  • Keep in mind that if you're lifting weights, you're adding weight back through muscle. But this is good -- muscle eats more calories and tones your body. Pay less attention to your weight in this case, and more towards your body's measurements. The scale isn't going to be reliable.
  • You gotta understand that, in only one month, 4 inches is a VICTORY. Don't take too much stock into the scale -- it's not accounting for how much of that is fat, and how much is muscle. If you lost 4 inches and remain the same weight, that means you lost 4 inches of fat and built muscle to replace it. Not to mention water…
  • The biggest part of losing weight without exercising (and the biggest benefit of MFP) is self-control. Take note of every food you eat, no matter how large or small, and you'll have a lot less trouble overeating.
