You should define your fitness goals, do you want to get to a certain weight or just feel better over all or get seriously in shape?

I know a guy who hooked up his exercise bike to his xbox so that it would only stay on if he was biking. He lost 80lbs and dropped the amount of games he was playing down to only 10hrs a week (he was playing much much more).

Learning discipline is hard....for you it might be cutting out one thing at a time or adding rules to your diet like "No beers until the weekend". Start adding a rule every week and see if you can close down your dietary gap that way. For others they have to change everything at once, that's how I've done it
