yes. and I do that. We eat out a lot. it's helpful to look at the menu and identify the big ticket items before you sit at the table. I haven't been to Olive Garden for years. I used to work there. I think they have the kcal right on the menu. Those f-ing bread-sticks!

I threw away my scale years ago because It makes me crazy. I can't base my self worth on a number daily. I weigh myself at work ( a hospital) and try to hold it down to twice a week. I measure my success by how well I stick to my meal plan.

make smart choices. Grilled anything. vegetarian entries are good. I try to plan the meal before I get there (like with sushi) and look up the foods on MPF. I found out I can have the sushi but the sake is a big ticket item.

Steel cut oatmeal, you can pre-make it and heat in the AM, add fresh fruit, any kind. Yes on Banana pancakes: crush up one banana and 2 eggs cook it a nonstick pan. Delicious but cook a little longer than you think on low heat. I love Fage and fresh fruit as well.

I make a curry dry rub with Madras curry powder, dried ginger, coriander, sea salt, cumin and black pepper. i rub on thin sliced chicken breast and grill it on the bbq. Spice rub chicken. Make a dry spice rib of your choice in bulk and use it. I like madras Curry powder, garlic powder, ginger, salt, ground pepper, red chille powder. Rub it on the meat, broil or grill (7-8 minutes). this is delicious topped with fresh chopped mango or papaya and fresh basil.

I count water as water, and ice, which is is frozen water. Not coffee, not tea, not light beer. I am am all for those beverages, but if your going toto trouble of counting water, count H20.
