Leading a boot-camp workout, entering a "carry your wife" race (my buff husband better be able to carry me- cause I plan on winning!), watching the 82nd Airborne jump, and watching fireworks at Fort Bragg.

I know I respond better to the drill instructor type- because I end up taking it more seriously... but then again I'm pretty competitive and loved my military upbringing. I think I'll just have to play it by ear and get tough when it's called for.

Thanks for this- I like it. I am so sarcastic normally, and it's what I revert to when I train normally... trying to tell jokes to put people at ease. But I can get tough if they're slacking.

I can definitely do something between the two- it's just tough because it's not a one-on-one session. The platoon I used to train was easy, because it was mostly guys and they were used to being yelled out, so I was a smart-*kitten* with them and they responded well to it... they still make fun of me because I told them…

You should also mix up your routine. Just doing cardio won't get you the result you're looking for, try incorporating plyometrics and weight training as well.

Yeah that calculator doesn't include height so you're getting a skewed answer. It calculated me at over 25% for BMI and I am actually in the 15-18% range.

The only Nike's I will run in are any from the Bowerman line. The rest of their "running" shoes are garbage in my opinion. I've had so many issues with every pair of Nike's I've tried to run in... except the Bowerman line- that's all I run in for distance.

You can research clinics that will do an accurate body fat/ lean muscle calculation. They use either water or air displacement to determine your body fat. 122lbs @ 5'8" with estimated body fat at 18.5% I go next week to have an actual analysis done at a metabolic wellness center to see where I actually stand since the body fat calculators are simply an average.
