I go to the gym and take a weight training/cardio class twice a week and workout at home with a DVD 4 days a week fior about 60-70 minutes..

I would say cut the amount down you use but don't eliminate it if you don't want to. No need to make yourself miserable!

ME! The scale was driving me insane, and I would let the number dictate my day. I try on some "key pieces" of clothing a few times a week, since I'm in maintenance anyway, and my clothes don't lie! I no longer fear drinking a bunch of water before I go to bed, or avoiding eating a huge amount of veggies, or whatever, late…

I am in maintenance basically, but I haven't weighed myself in about 3 months. I go by my clothes. Trust me, my jeans and fitted pants don't lie. The scale was driving me crazy and I refused to let it!
-
this! and how are your clothes fitting- that's what I go by, NOT the scale!
-
Just do it!! I was 135 and did it in 2:13. I would have gone faster, but was stuck in multiple porta potties! Never again!
-
I work from home also. Maybe try what I do- get up at 6 am and work out early. I also prep my food for the next day in Tupperware!
-
I would go to a dermatologist for advice.

I have accepted that I will "need" something sweet while watching TV before bed. I just budget it into my day. It's not that I'm bored after dinner- about 2 hours later around 9 or so I am a little hungry. I'm not going to spend of the rest of my life going to bed hungry so I plan an evening snack out in advance.
-
THIS...especially avoiding the processed foods.
-
Right, I know, but the fuel I needed to run for an hour or more at a fast pace, and the appetite it gave me, was like no other exercise I've ever done. I'm sticking with cross training/ group classes, and HIIT for now.
-
Meaning that I was eating too many calories that I felt I needed to sustain the longer runs. The extra calories and also the ravenous appetite running gave me caused me to put on a few pounds. Nothing major, but my clothes got a little snug.
-
I just had to share that I gained weight from running. Not from running per se, but I trained for a half marathon, and during the process, the amount of calories I personally needed to run those long training runs every week was too much for me. I ran the half marathon, and haven't run since. I have no desire to.

Even quitting diet sodas helps! Do it!
-
Oh please- give me a break! I'm just saying no more candle lit dinners!
-
Thank you! At least I am not alone in my feelings.
-
Same here. I love my breadmaker. I literally dump in the ingredients and it does the rest. I would not attempt to make bread on my own!
-
No, I got it and I really don't like it. The 5 minute ab section is the best out of all of it. The section with the weights Shaun T is moving too fast with the weights and it feels jerky to me. Save your money and get a Jackie Warner DVD. She is the best! If you do get Hip Hop Abs, it will be entertainment at least.

Thanks for all the replies. I work as well, but I don't travel for work, yet...maybe I'll see it differently some day. Or maybe I'm just irritable because that particular night (Wednesday), I was scrubbing dog vomit out of the carpet before feeding my kids leftovers which weren't all that great.
-
Let me clarify, I have no problem with them eating together- it was the nature of the dinner. It sounded like a "date" to me, which irritated me. How about a more casual place, not somewhere with bread baskets, appetizers, and desserts. I guess this was my real issue.

I do not have health problems. I only took immodium as it worked for me the last time. I try to avoid big salads the day before I run. Maybe it was the large Gatorade I had last night- not sure. I don't wear a hrm anymore!
-
ASICS are the only running shoes that work for me!!
-
I might have some chicken soup with extra turkey cut up and hard boiled egg whites in it. I am running later, otherwise I would have a huge salad!
-
I go to the gym about 2x a week, and run once or twice a week. The rest of the week I do DVDS upstairs in our gameroom. Pros- I wear the oldest rattiest workout clothes I don't brush my teeth or wash my face before I workout If I have to pee in the middle of the workout I just pause it Saves on DRIVING time!
-
Keep your exercise schedule as close to normal if possible- for me, I'm even working out on Xmas. I'm doing an exercise DVD at home- after we do our presents. why not? I want to and it's 1 hour of my day. Small portions of the "good stuff". Do not focus on the scale. Also, do not lounge around in sweats. Wear your jeans…

I certainly attribute my nail growth to it. My nails were always weak and brittle and all of the sudden they're strong and long? I don't think it's coincidence.
-
Get off the scale and go by your clothes instead. YOU WILL KNOW if you are gaining weight. Pay attention to your hunger cues. Exercise most days of the week.
-
I have drank it daily since March and I'm pretty much the exact same weight ( I'm at a normal weight and just trying to maintain). HOWEVER, I have more energy than ever before and my nails and eyelashes have never been longer. I have also not gotten sick in a very long time. NO, I am NOT a coach either.
-
I agree- I would have Zero energy on that amount of food!!

I have it..Have had it for about 16 years. I don't eat consume tomatoes, coffee, or spicy foods, but I do eat chocolate occasionally. Do not drink Coffee if you do. My symptoms got so much better after I gave it up. I deal with this disease on a daily basis, so you just have to learn to cope with it. It's annoying and…
