Alternate the zumba with weights/resistance training. I was addicted to Zumba and did it for a year. Then I noticed that while I felt like I was getting a good workout, my body wasn't really changing in the ways I wanted it to. I do circuit training and lots of push ups, resistance training and it's toned me up really well.

I've been caffeine free for about 3 years now. I can't have it due to my bladder :( I would just detox slowly though. Don't go cold turkey. I miss my diet coke and coffees!

I was NEVER a runner until this summer. I have done a 10K and now training for a 1/2 marathon. Things that get me running- proper running clothes, especially good running shoes and running socks. An awesome playlist. Heartrate monitor. I tell myself I can't stop unless something hurts. I think it's more mental than…

Maybe you are eating the rice too fast? That's the only thing I can think of? My advice- don't eat rice if it makes you feel that way!!

Do not make any comments about her appearance at all. Next time, smile and say "mind if I work in with you?" That is all.
-
Exactly! During the week I wake up early to workout before work, etc. I always consider not doing it, but then I tell myself how happy I will be once I'm "done". It always works! I write down what my workout will be each day. No excuses!

Not responding to the topic directly-but I have my BS in Nutritional Science and was on the RD path in college. That major was FILLED with eating disorders! Sad, really! Best of luck to you.

I understand where you are coming from, but I think one day you might look back on it and feel that you should have just gone.

Fill up on large volume, low cal foods with meals or when you aren't really hungry, but just want to snack. Examples that work for me- hard boiled egg whites, huge salad tossed with fat free italian, big bowl of sugar free jello, etc etc.

try checking out a few of the biggest loser DVDs from your library-they are tough! I also like Denise Austin and Jackie Warner. Jackie is even tougher than Jillian IMO!

I love it! I am not a coach BTW. I drink it for breakfast every day, plain. I add something else to my breakfast though. I like Greenberry the best. Vanilla is ok but has a weird aftertaste. I have noticed that I don't get tired at all during the day, and that's saying alot as I drink no caffeine whatsoever (can't have it…

Nope, not too late at all! I just started running this summer, and I'm 36. Thought I could never run because of past knee issues. Ran my 1st 10K this summer and going to do a 1/2 marathon in March. I love running, although I only do it 1 or twice a week. I do other cross training/cardio in between.

rice cake with PB2 on top- yum!!

I heard every 300 miles. I love my ASICS!

this happened to me before and is happening to me now. It's not the weight necessary but something I read is that exercising for that long interferes with hormones and therefore you aren't ovulating. I saw my dr. the last time this happened. Recommendation- cut back your exercise to no more than an hour a day, and take 2…

congrats- it's addicting :)

No, I have never run 13.1 miles straight but I did fine on my 10K and I meant running just once a week now. I am going to slowly add to the distance and times per week that I run. I have till March so plenty of time. I'll see what happens..

I'm 5'3 and my weight fluctuates between 133-136. So, normal. I don't want to run more than once a week now. I will start to run maybe 2x a week as the date gets closer (march 2014). I don't think I'm pregnant- my hubby had a vasectomy. I also know I didn't ovulate after my last period. I KNOW. TMI. I just saw my gyn for…

Long Way Down- Goo Goo Dolls Short Skirt/Long Jacket- Cake Higher- Taio Cruz

I used to wear mine to the gym, but now I don't since I don't want to worry about them getting knocked around. I am in no way worried about someone hitting on me. I could care less.
-
I swear by Asics. I wear them to run in, and they give really good support. I tried the Nike Free's to run in and for me they are so lightweight that they do nothing to support me!

I was never a runner until this summer. I ran my 1st 10K this summer and while it was hard, I did great and am so glad I did it. I only run 1 or 2 times a week now, just to maintain my pace and endurance. Having a good playlist is KEY for me. Also, proper running shoes and running gear. I also have to run first thing in…

Me too! I eat this while making my kids' lunches, then I go upstairs to work out. About 2 hours later I have my "real" breakfast :)
-

Yep. I bought it, did it once, and NO thank you! Shaun T says "hip hop abs" about 20 x in the workout- LOL!

Either eat a filling high protein snack, like a handful of nuts before walk in the door, or keep a bowl full of chopped veggies to pick on while you make dinner, go thru the mail, etc etc. It helps me. Being ravenous when you get home is NOT good :)
-
I agree
-
OH MY GOODNESS! this is for real!! Luckily none of that happened to me..only when I got home!
-
Interesting...I'll have to maybe change my pre run snack..
-
I can't run on the treadmill- it hurts my knees and shins. But I do great outside!
