  • Ok, ok. I get it, I guess I'll just have to get a thicker skin. I AM a morning person, I don't drink caffeine, but I do drink Shakeology, and that's probably where I get my energy from. Also, my title should not read that Runners are rude people- it was meant to just be a topic for other runners to see about rude people (…
  • Back to every day. I was doing weekly, but wasn't being as disciplined and gained weight.
  • Have a few sips, tell them thank you, and then get so busy doing other things that it just sits there. Maybe say " Oh, I've already had my coffee today, but this is delicious!"
  • To clarify, I'm not talking a full "wave" like waving "HI" to someone, all I do is raise my hand slightly. I run on a trail, so people are literally RIGHT next to me. It's not like I'm taking it personally, I just find it rude. I had a great run- almost 7 miles.
  • I've never wanted to use a Sauna. I live in Houston, and the weather here is like a Sauna every day! I don't understand the people who go in there after their workout with all their clothes on!!??
  • Weighing weekly sounded great and I thought it would not let me get "obsessed" but it did not work for me. I have now gone back to daily weighing and things are finally going in the direction they should. So far, the scale has either stayed the same or gone down ever since I've gotten "back on track". To each his own…

  • Go get your nails done with a nice manicure and it might help because they will look pretty. Or, paint the hot stuff on it. They sell it in the baby section of most drugstores. It's used to stop thumbsuckers. Good luck. My son is a nail biter as well :(
  • Twice a week- usually 5 miles each time. I am also doing a 10K next month, but I do other exercise the other days to keep my endurance up.
  • I have a shakeology shake and a cup of scrambled egg whites. YUMMMMM
  • I recently got them and I've done them twice. I just can't get over how many times Shaun T says "hip hop abs" during the videos. He says it so much it's laughable! I prefer Jillian Michaels personally as I've been working out at home alot more and I like her circuits.

  • I eat a little bit of a protein bar before working out (as soon as I get up) then about an hour later I have my breakfast. I eat a small dinner, so there's no way I can work out with no fuel in my body.
  • I have started weighing daily in the AM and this is what has helped me, seriously. If I eat desserts and snacks, it will show on the scale (for me) in the AM. I chew gum to keep me busy at night.
  • Sounds like you are going through what happened to me. I started MFP last spring 2012 to get ready for my sister's Aug. 2012 wedding. I went from 134 to 125. My period stopped for 6 months! As I look back at my diary and exercise, I was overexercising and not eating enough, and my body let me know. I went to the dr. got…
  • It could be TOM or you ate something high in sodium causing the "gain". This is why I don't weigh weekly anymore. I weigh daily before things surprise me.
  • Personally no. I get my carbs from other sources. If I want a "starch" I use quinoa or maybe a sweet potato.
  • PJs along with a sports bra (most nights)
  • Thank you..even though I ran alot during vacation, I ate too many sweets and laid around too much. So, I had to work it off!
  • I motivate myself by reminding myself how the clothes I love are not fitting right and how I'd love to fit into them properly again. I also started weighing daily, and I now look forward to seeing the number in the morning.
  • I know exactly where you are coming from. I was sick twice this spring and couldn't work out for about 4 days. You need to rest, or it will take you longer to get back to normal. Just try to eat sensibly and don't over do it on "comfort foods" like crackers or ice cream or anything. Funny thing is, even after being sick…
  • Your doctor put you on a diet? why? Your weight falls in the normal range. Why so low? I am 5'3 and 135 lbs and I eat way more than 1200 and I'm only trying to get down to 130.
  • ice cream. Finally stopping it has helped the scale move.
  • It doesn't bother me, but I help my hubby shave his for the summer time.
  • Yes, the Shake diet will help you lose the weight fast, but how sustainable is this? You're not going to drink just shakes forever, and then the weight will come back on. Slow and steady...

  • beautiful! Your cheekbones sure came out !
  • I would suggest a good playlist wish some fast upbeat songs. It helps me!
  • Glad you are having similar success. I can't skip dinner though- I just keep it pretty small with protein and veggies. I can't to go bed ravenous, but can go to bed slightly hungry. Plus I work out often first thing on an empty stomach in the am. So I need some fuel in me from the night before.
  • I gave it up cold turkey. I had to for health reasons. I used to crack open a cold diet coke every afternoon with my snack. But, once I realized that drinking it was really hurting me (literally) I stopped. Same with coffee. If you really want to do it, you will. If you would suggest tapering off maybe. Reduce the 2 or 3…
  • I have my BS in Nutritional Science, but I am in a totally different field now. And, alot of the girls in my major had various eating disorder behavior...
  • I'm in Houston too! I have been starting my runs around 615am to avoid the horrible heat! I have yet to find the proper running shoes. I got a pair of $100 Nike running shoes a few weeks ago in a 1/2 size bigger than my normal size, to find out that they are probably too small because I'm getting blisters. So I am wearing…
  • Great job!! I am a new runner, and I did 6.24 miles this am- my farthest ever. I feel great!!
