I find good music to run to. I also LOVE seeing how many calories I blasted on my HRM. I live in the south too, so I go out for my run at 615am!

It's a great feeling. A few weeks ago, I started running. Since my endurance is already high, I have started running regularly. My longest distance is 5.4 miles!

bump???

As long as you are eating enough, sleeping well, not in pain, and still getting your period, you are fine. Last summer, I was overdoing it on the exercise and not eating enough- my body let me know by taking my period away for 6 months. I now usually take 1 rest day a week and enjoy it!
-
Glad it works for you. For me though, weighing every day was starting to determine how I felt about myself that day. I now only weigh once a week, and not during TOM. I am much happier this way.

I am NOT a runner! However, I have good endurance from the other workouts I do. I got officially timed running the mile at my kids' track camp last week. 8:44! I was so proud of myself !

I cannot drink coffee or diet sodas, spicy foods, tomatoes, citrus. If I do, I may as well live in the restroom :(
-
I don't really think that's addiction- it's just something that you are looking forward to crossing off for the day- that's how I am!

We must be twins because our heights, weights are the same, as well as calorie intake. I was down at my lowest weight last summer from undereating as well and over doing it on exercise. Now my body is back to the weight it wants to be.

I think 3.5 lbs in 3 weeks is excellent- any faster and that would not be good for your body. Be patient and congrats.

agree with the above poster. or, you may be PMSsing or ate something salty or retaining water. how are your clothes fitting?
-
I like it too but I try to limit it because I tend to go overboard while in there, eat too much and try too many free samples of the yogurt, which don't "count"- hah!
-
The funny thing is, I KNOW I don't drink enough water. However, I eat a TON of veggies and high water content foods. My urine is always very light, which is a very good indicator. I eat almost a whole head of iceberg lettuce a day.

sushi that is deep friend and really bad for you. And maybe a bowl of lucky charms with whole milk!

they are good, but no nutritional value. They just make you full really. And, I had to add something to them to make them palatable. You don't really "digest" them either, if you get my drift!

I really like Bolthouse Ranch Yogurt dressing. You buy it in the refrigerated section of the produce. It's 45 cals for 2 TBS and yummy!
-
We planted peas, squash and eggplant, but only the squash is growing :(

It's a great calorie burner. Do it!!

Shakeology shake with vanilla coconut milk and 1 cup of egg whites scrambled. yum

Shakeology tropical strawberry shake with a little coconut milk, and scrambled egg whites. yum.

Baked mahi mahi on a huge salad with lite honey mustard dressing.

I cannot wear thongs anymore- they will give me a UTI. I do hate panty lines but with all the movement you do at the gym thongs are just not good for me. I wear cotton underwear and change out of it as soon as I'm done working out.

To me eating clean (which I don't) is avoiding processed foods and foods with artificial sweeteners, colors, etc. A person who eats clean would never eat fat free ice cream or light mayo. They would eat real haagen daz and homemade mayo.

In my opinion, there are 2 options- 1 is not to stay with them. The other option is to take small portions and firmly say "I'm full." when offered seconds and try to be active when you are there. Don't worry about being rude if turning down food. Just say no thank you and start a new conversation about something else. My 2…
-
I see what you are saying, as I love my HRM, but being that you are going on vacation, don't bring it. Be active, enjoy yourself, but give yourself a break from the calculations.
-
You look great but don't need to call yourself names.

I lost 3 pounds the week I went just by eating sensibly and from all the walking. I did get some desserts and try some new foods, but I just didn't over do it. You HAVE to get some DOLE WHIP when you are there- YUM! Enjoy and don't stress!
-
I know what you mean about the feeling like you "NEED" to, but trust me, rest, and then get back to it when you're better. If you do work out it could take you longer to get over what ever this is.

I don't like any of the ones that come pre-made. I make my own. I like Jay Robb vanilla protein powder, 1/2 a frozen banana, ice, and 3 cups of spinach. That is about 200 calories and YUMMY! I think the key is the ice and the frozen banana to add volume and texture.
