  • Hi, I've looked at you diary. I think you are eating good things, just I think you should probably have more calories throughout the day, especially breakfast. I also think your protein intake is too low. Protein is important if you workout a lot, protein is a building block that rebuilds your cells, you need some healthy…
  • That's good. Loving food will make it easier. Loving healthy food that is. With proper nutrition, you will end up losing weight, eating more and stay full longer. You don't even need to exercise.
  • This is exactly what happens with the insulin response. Our body is very responsive in regulating blood sugar, and simple carbs like bread, potatoes, pasta will up your sugar and create a big insulin response which will try to get rid of all the excess sugar and store it as fat, during that process the blood sugar will…
  • I feel you though, I just about raided the refridgerator today, still hungry lol. My wife was complaining earlier that she can't get enough to eat today, some days are just crazy like that, and I gotta tell you I haven't been sparing my stomach lately.
  • 3oz of shrimp doesn't seem like much, it's a good food high in protein and fat, but it is not a complete meal without some complex carbs like sweet potato or brown rice. Have you had those, you would have definitely had felt fuller. See what's in the cocktail sauce as well and how are those shrimps made because if there is…
  • It is still a weight loss, if you're healthy and eating well balanced healthy food, you will get there eventually. Now walking can burn some nice calories, but maybe you should consider up the ante a little bit and do some jogging, get a good cardio going for 20-30 mins.
  • If it works, you should continue doing what you're doing. The calorie deficit doesn't have to be huge, it takes about 3500 calories to add a pound to your body, so if your deficit is 350 cals, you will lose a pound in ten days, make it a 700 and you will lose it in 5.
  • Fortunately, it is not how it works. You will not end up with a handicap; you just have to eat so your metabolism speeds up. They must have been talking about "crash diets" which is what everyone thinks the weight loss is all about, but there is a way to lose weight and eat good, feel good, and that is to eat healthy.…
  • Nothing short of amazing. good work.
  • You can calculate how many calories you need a day. It will be roughly your weight * 10 + (20-50% of your weight depending on the level of activity, normal activity would be somewhere in the 20-30 range) That's a rule of thumb, but if you google the "metabolic rate calculator," you will find a few different ones. Once when…
  • You don't really need a special DVD "program" to get toned, lose more weight, or whatever your goal is. Just creating a habbit of exercising couple of times a week doing jogging, push ups, sit ups squats, or whatever you're comfortable with, will work for you. The problem with these programs, just like all these commercial…
  • Friend here, help is on the way... :) Well...first of all, when you start exercising after a long time of sedentary life it will always suck, especially if you start off too hard. Secondly, your body will eventually adapt to it and it wont feel as bad. Also, there is an alternative to hard core workouts, it's called just…
  • I love this response, I think the first one should be just to be healthier overall, but don't hold it against me for voicing my opinion. Don't ever let anyone tell you it cannot be done. This is an awesome attitude to have towards this. By the way, I am not trying to lose weight anymore because I just lost about 37 pounds…
  • This is not helpful either, instead of encouraging her to go and try things out, you're suggesting that she should spend money and time on personal trainers because otherwise it would be "pointless"? There is no such thing as pointless when you're starting out. Any exercise is good. There are just pointless people that…
  • She's not training for a damn body building show, she's just getting familiar with everything. If she is going to be using her energy worrying all the time about what to do, how many reps, how much creatine to take and all the rest of the bs, then she'll never get to do anything. I understand she needs to do thing safely…
  • Just hit the machines one by one and do what you can, weight lifting works great for building up metabolism because muscles use some energy to recover over several days after the workout.
  • The weight can fluctuate a lot over the day, there is always 2-3 pounds difference from morning to afternoon weighing. It is mostly water weight, but if you believe that it might be the actual weight then you might need to adjust your calories intake, cut another 100-200 calories from your daily intake and see how it…
  • How long have you been doing it? You can probably lose 6 pounds in 3-4 weeks just by eating healthy with no exercise, with exercise, you should be able to lose it sooner.
  • Ezekiel is good for you, it is not very filling for me, and it is quite caloric, but it is very healthy food if nutritions are what you're after and can spare extra calories.
  • Would love to help. Add me, ask me anything. :)
  • I used to drink regular sodas most of my life and then I switched to diet soda when I got into my thirties, now I drink only water and occasionaly a diet soda about once a week with my cheat meal :) The sodas are so much part of our culture that is is hard to completely give them up, but it is a good idea to cut down on…
  • With working out 5-6 times a week, I'd say your calorie intake of 1200-1400 cals a days seems kinda low. With such a low calorie intake, every meal counts, and every meal has to have a good balance of carbs, protein and fats. You might want to look into supplementing with multivitamins as well.
  • That is an amazing weight loss in a short time. Pretty good.
  • Start drinking coffee and sweeten it with Stevia.
  • Ridiculous. If you eat good, your body will clean itself. Why do you think you're full of some nasty stuff that needs cleansing?
  • I dare to say 80% of weight loss is food you eat, you can kill yourself with exercise and not get any results if you eat bad stuff afterwards. As long as you have a calorie deficit, you WILL lose weight. Some stuff like sodium may hold you back some if your intake is too high but eventually you would lose weight anyway.…
  • You're doing good. 15 pounds in 2 months is a nice weight loss. Do some research on what's good and bad for you, avoid everything on a high glycemic index and you will be losing weight even faster. I understand you might have certaing cravings for bad foods, but there is a substitute for almost anything out there which may…
  • It's not bad if you make it a treat once a week. It is bad eating that every day. It is not so much about calories as it is about nutrients. Granted that chicken nuggets have some proteins, but other than that...it is all bad carbs, the type of carbs that get digested ver quickly into your blood stream, turns into sugar,…
  • You have to eat more. I think 1300 calories is not enough for anyone. 1300 calories would hardly be enough for someone weighing 130 pounds. Calculate your daily calorie needs. The rule of thumb is your weight * 10 + 10-30% depending on your daily activity. Add some healthy fats to your diet like olive oil, almonds,…
