  • Oh and for every research finding that claims one thing...there is always another to counter it...this is from Princeton University... http://www.foodnavigator.com/Science-Nutrition/Sugar-addiction-unlikely-in-humans-says-scientist
  • I may be wrong...but I do know that people (not saying ANYONE HERE so please don't be offended or think I'm being rude) are quick to label things a disease or an addiction when it's nothing more than a psychological condition...that there are no REAL physiological addictions. I draw from my own experiences when I'm making…
  • We have a winner...it's all about what you choose. I'm no expert, but there is no such thing as SUGAR ADDICTION. You want it cause it tastes soooooo GOOD.
  • I wouldn't say that was a dumb question. There are a number of ways to do it. The easiest and cheapest is with a body fat caliper. You can pick one up at any health food store I'd guess. I ordered mine from my Beachbody store - http://www.teambeachbody.com/reedman. You simply follow the directions and use the caliper to…
  • Try Stevia...but that sucks to crave ANYTHING that badly...
  • Holy cow dude! You've lost 70lbs?! That's sick! You're doing awesome! Slashing your bodyfat like that has got to be a great feeling! I can't wait to see your results!
  • I actually just used the calorie guide on this website to calculate my diet. I ate between 2,600 to 3,000 calories a day. I gained 10lbs of muscle and cut about 2% of my body fat down from around 9% to 7%.
  • Keep it up man! Day 71 - you can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Be sure you post your results!
  • Thanks! I loved every minute of it! Making that video was a real pleasure too!
  • Money is always an issue...and now more so than ever...the way I look at it though is that it is a ONE time deal. You buy P90X and you have it "forever" whereas if you are spending money to workout at a gym that is a continued drain on your finances AND if you're anything like me...the results you get from your gym…
  • You CAN do P90X in a small space, but it takes a little imagination. Some of the routines (plyometrics especially) are better with more space, but you can absolutely do them in a tight spot. Here is a picture of a workout area that is P90X ready - http://workoutjourney.com/how-much-space-do-you-need-for-p90x - My apologies…
  • Have you considered trying Shakeology? I drink it once or twice a day with my meals
  • So I took the advice from an earlier post and got a fat caliper...7% body fat! WOOT! I assume I was probably at something like 8 or 9% when I started - I've always been really lean. To those of you who have fallen off the bandwagon...get back on it and to those of you who are continuing to bring it - well done! I strained…
  • I start off my day with a ProV60 shake and a piece of fruit - thats my breakfast. I'd love to have an actual meal, but I don't allow time for it in the morning so thats the best I can do. Before lunch I'll either have another piece of fruit or a P90X peak performance protein bar. Then I eat a smart lunch - sometimes a…

  • Welcome - I'm glad I wasn't tracking what I was eating BEFORE I started eating smartly...I started doing P90X to get into shape and on the advice of a friend I began to use this website to track my calories to make sure I was getting enough and of course not getting too much. It's been a great tool for me to use and in a…
  • How much taller did you get after the rod was put in? You're awesome to be going for it with that limitation in your back. I'm impressed!
  • I think you've come to the right place. I'm sure there are a lot of people here who can help guide you to where you want to be. My wife is using Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs to get in shape and drop some weight.
  • I really should - I just haven't found myself in the right place to pick one of those up. Another random question...and maybe I'm a little vain (possibly)...I love taking a lot of pictures of my progress and having my wife/friends take pictures during the work outs... Everyone else doing that...? Anyone else doing that?
  • That's also illegal I don't understand people who want to take the cheap and or easy way to get to something...I can tell you right now...don't bother downloading and burning P90X. If you're not willing to spend the money to buy the program...you won't have the dedication to complete it.

  • Outstanding results...I regret not checking my body fat before hand...the last time I had it checked was in 1998 :) but I didn't look any different then than I did when I started P90X 19 days ago... My body fat then was 4.8% and I'm going to assume that I was maybe somewhere around 8-10% body fat when I started P90X.
  • I've always been thin...my whole life I've struggled with gaining any real weight. I tried the gym thing off and on for years and while I'd see an increase here and there...I've never seen an increase like I've already seen with P90X. I'm eating between 2500-3000 calories...and working my tail off with these routines. I…
  • FTCCJT - great results. I'm not excluding anyone from the thread - please feel free to comment...if you can recall the way things went for you back in your first run... I'm really curious how the next phase is going to be...
  • MFINNEY - You pretty much nailed it.
  • I believe you can get Ab Ripper X if you get the Tony Horton 1 on 1 series...but, P90X is something that I personally feel EVERYONE who is interested in getting in shape should do. I've been doing P90X for just under three weeks and the results are undeniable! If you think I'm exaggerating then send me an email and I'll…

  • About as many as you'd burn sitting around doing nothing I'm afraid. You're not going to get an increase in your heart rate if you're just running the vac. Unless you're doing it while angry at your spouse for not doing it...that might get your blood pumping a bit. But, I did find this information... Calories burned with…
