I was blessed with a mom the grew up during the depression and made sure all of us kids know how to do basic sewing. I have not found any place that really has clothes that fit me so I do a lot of my own alterations to make them do so. As my jeans get loose I take the waist in as many times as I can while they are in good…

age 37 height 5'8" Heaviest weight: 201 (2007) Heaviest weight this year: 185 current weight: 175 Goal weight: 165 or so...smaller then that and you can see my hip bones which is gross!! I did South Beach in 2007 for a few months and dropped down to 180-185 by December of that year and maintained that until January of this…

This is why I like the statuses as well, for me that person atl east knows someone thought of them that day. I am by no means an expert on exercise or nutrition, so I'm not going to pick a party someones diary when I dont' kow the entire story.

I'm looking for more motivation myself. I forget to log in on the weekends frequently due to the fact that I avoid the computer since I work on one all week. I work the graveyard shift so my diary reads a little weird and I'm more likely to respond to people in my news feed then in the blogs on the community section. When…

I alter my jeans to the new smaller size for as long as I can or until the jeans are just shot and I have to throw them away. I'm blessed that I get to wear jeans for work so that save me lots of money. Most of my tops get altered as well unless its going to be something so drastic it won't look right. If I can't alter it…

I only drink on the weekends and that equates to a six pack on at least one of the nights of the weekend and if we go out both nights then its a six pack each night...not the best thing in the world but it could be so much worse!

I'm interested in thsi topic as well. I bought a fiturbo to save money instead of getting the fitbit I now want..biggest factor fiturbo doesn't link up to anything and the website still has many technology issues. It does seem accurate for steps adn sleep activity but I hate having to go to multiple places to try and…

I've learned that although I thought I was mostly eating healthy that the occasional fast food/alcohol binge were doing way more dammge then I had ever imagined...talk about the horror 8o

For starters, the best thing you have done for yourself is to make the decision that you don't want to give up because you have come too far to do that now. I use sticky notes all over the place with messages like this to remind me why I'm doing what I'm doing. I may not have as much weight to lose as others on here but…

This sounds super nummy, will have to give it a try

i totally agree with how you went about it...If I went all in at once I would have hit a brick wall eventually that since it wasn't what i wanted to eat then I'd just not eat at home and sneak fast food! It a learning process and like my dad tells me we didn't get unhealthy overnight so we're not going to get healthy…

Thank you, this is the first explanation that made sense to me!

Thank you for your concern! Between my eye doctor and my regular doctor we think we've got some of this lined out. I have a new contact prescription that will hopefully help with the headaches. I work nights and on a comp the entire shift so they think the flurescent ligthing plus comp screen was causing eye fatigue added…

http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ You have got to check out this site. She made a different thing in the crockpot for 365 days. Her daughter cannot eat gluten so she will tell you what gluten free things to use. Not all the items are healthy but it will give you some new ideas. [/quote] Thank you so much for this link, its…

Thank you for posting here, I just joined this group so maybe we can get it jump started again. I totally have the same issue you do of not putting myself first. This is something I have struggled with my entire adult life. I grew up in a family where we did what Dad wanted to first and sometimes my mom would be bad and…

Please keep adding ideas for this thread...My biggest hang up over the years for not buying healthier foods was that I coudl not afford it being a single mom. I work graveyard so any slow cooker recipes are a goldmine for me since it can cook while I sleep during the day and the family has dinner ready when they get hoem…
