A few years ago when I started running, I would feel like I would throw up and my hubby would say keep running. If I had to puke then I did and then just kept going. After a few times then I got past it.

That is soo cool that he said that! How great for you to know that you can do more, go farther..etc. Keep it up!

oh yes I know how you feel. My husband stopped drinking soda (not that he drank alot) and drop 20 lbs in 3 weeks.
-
Well I told the hubby no donuts this year. We will probably go to Ruby Tuesday where I know what to get.

Well considering that this is my first time going through TOM since changing diet, I have to say that today I had 3 cookies, logged them, then just worked out that much more to make sure that I worked off those cookies. I still must hold myself accountable for those. I wanted them so I had them but TOM doesn't give license…

Just wondering why you were so concerned with how much sugar? I mean you are WAY down on your calories. Unless there is a medical reason for watching the sugar, I wouldn't worry about that and just make sure that you are watching calories and possibly sodium. Fruit is good for you so I wouldn't worry about the sugar that…

I use the Wii fit Plus and until I can master the step and rhythm boxing I will be staying. I want to get Zumba as well here in a couple of weeks I think.
-
Yep that is what I am doing. I am eating less, cut out soda except 1 20oz a week. I try to eat a salad for lunch but often it is leftovers. I work out on my Wii 5 days a week and its coming off slow. Feel free to look at diary. Dinner is what it has always been, just less!

as long as you pick the same clothing option every time I think its accurate. It is pretty close to what my regular digital scale says.

Fish oil is supposed to be good for your heart. So since the only fish that I eat is in the form of fishsticks... thought that I better take something. I just use Spring Valley which I got from Wal-Mart. There was some article in Womens World about how taking fish oil helps you lose weight but I don't think that it is…

Thanks Peeps! It isn't so much a craving really as that I just can't stop thinking about it. I don't know that I REALLY want it. Any time I tried to "diet" I did nothing but think about all of the food that I "couldn't have" and now as I am trying to change my life instead I was doing well trying to not think of it in…

I know I saw it when I did a search to see if this answer was out there somewhere! Now why didn't you cook speghetti and I wouldn't have had to ask! LOL Thanks everyone! I am not sure why this is so hard for it to be out in Internet land.

you can adjust the settings to whatever % of carb, protein you want. It also depends on how many calories you are eating.

Been doing this 3 weeks and my clothes haven't changed either because it didn't come off my waist or chest. Mine started coming off around my rib area. It is slowly working its way down..LOL You should measure various areas and track that way. My hip measurement got a little bigger but I think that I am building up muscle…

You can if they have their diary open. A lot have it only to friends or they have it locked. Its in one of the settings.
-
Yep same here. NADA!

Part of why I ask this is because then to hit a "healthy weight" one says 145 the other 160..... so I am not sure where I should shoot for?
-
I know that getting it done by calipers would be way more truthful but I don't have a gym membership and don't know if I can just walk in somewhere and say test me! LOL

Isn't is awesome how strong you are getting? Its the little things that make your day sometimes. Ok I can now go up the flight of stairs without feeling like I am going to have a heart attack or like you, I can now carry something that used to be "heavy". Great job and keep up the good work! :flowerforyou:

Good for you! I have certain pair of jeans as well that i am looking to be to skinny to wear! That is the only reason they are around. I would like to wear them without muffin top! Keep Going you are doing great!

Well you should never be discouraged! If any progress is being made whether it be on the scale or by the tape. Progress is progress! If you lose slowly it is less likely to come back. You didn't say how much you have lost in that month. I am sure it also depends on how much you have to lose to start with. Try not to have…

Step 1: Don't think of what you are doing as a "diet". You need to be making a lifestyle change. I have tried for many years to "diet" and feel like a failure after a week or so when I fall off the wagon. Step: 2 Don't be so hard on yourself. If you fall down, get right back up and try to figure out why or what made you…

Maybe your coworker is in denial? How many people before they came here were??? I thought "I am not eating THAT bad, For the longest time I wouldn't even TRY anything that was different. My daughter (4) loves lima beans and brussel sprouts. I had to eat them and say that I liked them so that she would eat them. Now its a…

I do the shopping so if I don't want it in the house, its not in the house. I bought a bag of chips and he ate them but I never saw him. My husband is one that can eat anything and not gain weight so I know how you feel. Does he go out and just bring stuff home? Ask him for his support and ask that if he wants something…

Thanks for the suggestions! I am going to see what I can find. Hannaford is not a brand that I can get so will move on to the others. Off to taste test!

I took a day and said to myself that I was going to get healthy and fit and if I lost the 30 lbs needed then great but I needed to be healthy first. I had to say to self that this was not a "diet" this was a life change. For the first time I have actually lost weight and I can touch my toes!

It is always hard for the people you see every day to notice the change as it is happening. So glad that someone commented in a postive way. Nice to hear anyway.
