So glad I'm not young today, quite a lot of them young ones are as dumb as a box of banana's.

Tomato's, onions, cooked carrots and fried eggs and scrammbled eggs. I hated them all as a child, i loved them now, but only 9 out of 10 for the fried egg :)

I would have thought you would lose more weight not eatting before morning exercise. Some people might think you need to put some enegy in first. But when I was in the Army we exercised first thing before food, twice a week.
-
ok ill had you as friend then.

I think at HRM is need really. I plan over the weekend to get my Kinect out are try it with some games. I did try one of those dance games on demo one and it was very energetic. I'd say it would be at the high end of calories burns.

I see your not happy running marathon in 7+ hours, wow there are lots of people who would envy that achievement. I ran at school 1500M and ran in boxing training and in the army every other morning cross country. Never ran more thn 6 miles.
-
Yea I just started doing that, slipped my mind as it was all new to me.
-
Bump before this gets weighed down in other topics.

It's the MSG hidden in the foods, it goes straight to the brain. That's what's it's used for.
-
45 here started to change my life a couple of years back though to slow. So hopefully on MFP things will speed up. I wish I was 21 again with y 45 year old mind ;)
-
Did you know apart from spinach being one of the best foods you can have it's also one of the most toxic with pesticides so it's advisable to use organic spinach. Would be interesting to know if MFP has different levels for men and woman.

Keep your age the same just change your max heart rate to what you know it is through training. You can leave the zone of set to the zone you want from the list I put on here. I set mine to fat burn for tomorrow at gym.
-
Oh yes I found that, I'm new to FT4 had it a few days and this was the soultion to working out why my HR was set to 175 thanks.
-
Those zones can be changed in settings. Tomorrow I'm going to set my zone up for FAT BURN zone for the first hour and use the bike horizonal bike. Then for the next 30 mins I go on tread mill and go to Extreme Zone. If I have any energy left I go and do 15 mins in the weight room.
-
Neka first you need to go to gym and find your max heart rate by doing some intense exercise, like the tread mill or cross trainer. Get going and a good intense exercise going. then push yourself 10 minutes in to in for a minute or as long as you can go, not too long though. Then you get your max heart rate. Or if you have…

My Max HR for my age on the FT4 is 175, 45 years old. This is automatic you can't change this. But in real life my Max HR is 195, so I change my age to 25 on the Polar FT4 this set my Max HR to 195 and set my zones correct and in fact calibrated my FT4 to me. The formula used by Polar for men is 220 - age. So for me that…
-
I done a little bit of research yesterday and I'm right to change my age. It's not age that is important but max heart to calibrate and know your zones witch I will type up here later.
-
But the formula is not set in stone, it's not true for me. If it was true I be dead now with a 195 max heart rate. The idea of the formula is so you know what zone your in and the machine can calculate your calories burned. If the machine is not correct in my max heart rate with is about 12% out, my calorie burn must be…

That should say 30 mins instead of 40 I got 40 from reading someone's post. Yes I here that, I am only 5'6 1/2 and I'm classed as oh obese at 198 lbs.
-
The major factor is effort, just using the treadmill calorie counter I have used between 30 mins 450 - 600 calories depending on the amount of effort I put in.
-
If people are burning nearly 200 calories walking at 3.5 mph for 40 mins why can't I burn 700 running ?
-
I have an FT4, I just got it and don't know much about it really, I put my heaight weight age in the settings. Would it help if I wrote my training data here ?
-
Actually the HRM was less than the tread mill estimate, the tread mill monitors HR and you enter details and weight. I think it's more to do with being not that fit but also being an athlete when I was young. My heart rate max for my age 45 should be 175 but I peaked at 195 and spent suite some time at 180 bpm, if I was…
-
Can you use them in water ?
-
Thats a good point it did cross my mind. I was going to take it a work to see how many calories I burn there too.
-
I ldone Tread Mill, then breifly on the cross train the horizontal.bike.
-
Yours is broken no one has a 30 bpm heartbeat not even marathon runners. And 70 max that's normal for most people potteri g round the home. Get it replaced from the shop your bought it or Polar.
-
I lost 2lb in gym but I wait till tomorrow morning to confirm weight has I'm having a pizza tonight. Only about 650 cals though.
-
I just broke through the barrier this morning but ii want to see the scale say 13 stone something so another 2 lb before that.
-
I ordered a TF4 from Amazon. I'd like a TF7 but TF4 is ok for starter I guess. Thanks for your guidance peps.
