I had the same problem a while back, now I eat about 2-3 bites of kimchi a day and let nature take its course. There was three days there I was starting to get worried, nothing worse than bloating for a poor night's sleep. This worked for me, I don't eat yogurt so have no opinion there.

Mine is 10c 20p 70f at the moment, I'm still figuring out what works best for me. At first I couldn't go that low on carbs, so I gradually came down from about 80grams and at the same time I lowered my carbs I raised my fat and adjusted my protien. I'm 40 days paleo so this is coming from a newbie. Hope all goes well. Eta…

Anyone have any good idea's for the chocoholic? Love milk chocolate, and sometimes I can't concentrate because I want it... Maybe pack some low calorie chocolate pudding snacks and savor each creamy bite : ) Also, those chocolate fudgsicles are low calorie for late night cravings.

Hiya, walks are great for clearing the mind, I wish I took one today - tomorrow I'll make up for it I just need a good night's sleep, was up with my 3 yr old last night and it kind of blew my motivation for the day. Keep logging, get plenty of protien and hopefully that will keep you from snacking too much. Have a good…

Great, just 8 inches to go, sigh...

Everyday I check my carbs, protien and fat (macros) and try to reach them, these can be adjusted under goals. The reason I do this is before I ate within my calories and struggled (you know, I was hungry and grumpy all the time) then I realized I was pretty much just getting all my calories from carbs and sugar, sodas,…

Hi, welcome :~) I just got a scale to weigh my food to help with logging. A lot of people have logging food as a mini-goal, it takes some getting used to. If I have time, actually at this point I make the time, I log my food the night before, checking macros and then just go back and edit if a meal changes. I've read that…

Amazing, high five!

Well, yes I do expect her to inspire me, much like my doctor inspired me to try paleo and helped me quit cigarettes. By my book, no it can't hurt, what I was doing before is what hurt and based on your comments, your life wasn't all unicorns and rainbows either until you got healthy eating meat 24/7 so don't be so quick to…

We'll see, I've met her before once when she helped assist my doctor, she's pretty young and was in the top of her class, but who knows. My doctor in fact suggested mfp (I didn't tell him I used it before over 2 years ago) so I'm back. He doesn't charge for her services because he knows insurance won't cover it but feels…

Thank you :) - I decided to stay on my paleo path until I see a professional, there's just too much info out there and at least I can follow paleo and get my carbs. I appreciate your response.

Never mind, I'll talk to my nutritionist.

Bfitgirl, there is now a group for the 100 day challenge referenced in this thread, you can find it if you search under groups. ????

Hi. My main goal was to buy a food scale and I just did that, now I can start measuring my food instead of guesstimating. Mini- goals, walk to the pool, swim a few laps when possible, reach my macros and catch some Sons of Anarchy on Netflix after I put the kids to sleep.
-
Thanks for the reminder. I just finished entering my weekend meals on mfp. My ultimate goal is to stay under my carb macros, eat my calories or at least get very very close to my 1339 calorie goal, and of course have fun fun fun with the kids. Also, take advantage of the pool since it closes at the end of the month.…

I feel you, I hate feeding the kids cereal in the mornings although I grew up eating that crap, Captain Crunch being a personal favorite, ugh. It's bacon and eggs (in a box) if I have time, pancakes (premade by me) on the weekend. Personally, I'd slice some apples and give him a glob of peanut butter or nutella and some…

Hi, just joined today, my name is Katharine. My mini goals today, stay within calorie goal, check. Replace breakfast smoothie with something more substantial (I was starving by lunchtime) - check. Today was a rest day for me, tomorrow 15 min strength training, walk to school to get kids (approx 60 mins), til then, here's…

I'd take a plate of whatever everyone else is eating, a smaller portion though and just act like you're eating it, this worked for me at the last birthday party. Walk around with it and then casually dump it when everyone else is done.

I did breakfast smoothies for about a week and half before I started getting hungry and hungrier before lunch; slowly started eating lunch earlier and earlier, so this post was helpful for me. Its back to spinach omelettes with a tablespoon of coconut oil, well, until I either run out of spinach or get bored with that. I…

Fruit and vegetables - on average 80 plus/minus grams carbs a day. Edited to say: I used to eat over 1000 grams carbs a day. I didn't know about macros I just tried to eat under 1200 calls a day and that didn't work.

Been following paleo (meat, veg, fruit & fat) for 30 days. I don't buy organic or grass fed, so I guess not pure paleo. I lost 10lbs the first week and have lost 10 more in the following 3 weeks. Paleo is not low carb, it's low crap. It's also easy if you keep it simple. Might want to join paleo support forum on this…

I forget which site it was, it cited Asian countries as high on stomach cancer and blamed it on fermented foods. Good thing I didn't listen and gave it a chance after reading some of your opinions because I'm back on my game; feels great. I'll just go ahead and say it because who knows this might help someone later on, I'm…

No expert here either but after dropping my carbs down below 25 for three days and realizing that wasn't going to work for me, I get my carbs from fruit, usually a smoothie in the morning with coconut oil ~ example, banana or berry mix, spinach, 2 tbls coconut oil, coconut water then I eat vegs with lunch and dinner.

Thanks ladies, the brand of kimchi I bought says unpasteurized and live, so I guess I'm good o go there. I'll read those sites, I do like paleomom and I appreciate your both helping me.

I don't know about the gum but have you tried those vapor cigarettes? My husband has a lot of nervous energy too and those give him a nicotine fix when he feels he might cave and have a smoke.

My favorite quote of the day "You do realize that your body doesn't care if sugar is from an apple or a cookie, right" ~ this in response to someone asking for advice on cutting white sugar out of their diet. The sad thing is I didn't say anything because I've learned to keep my mouth shut on those boards because of all…

Thank you, I mostly worried about lack of sleep, but am prepared to just roll with it.

I made chili last week that went over well with my husband (although his was over fritos) I portioned off the left overs for my lunches. It was really good. http://www.paleonewbie.com/paleo-crockpot-chili-recipe/ Otherwise, I just cook his meats separately, rice or pasta for him and add my vegs which he'll salt. I'm new to…

I liked your unedited post better :)
