You don't have to do cardio. It's good to get some type of cardio activity in for heart health thought. Whether it be HITT, MISS or LISS.

Your kidneys & liver are detoxing your body every day. Don't fall for these schemes that you can somehow magically out do what your body naturally does already.

>Rest >Food >Train if you can. Let the weight loss come from the calorie deficit. Getting adequate rest and eating enough are the most important parts. You don't feed and sleep enough you'll be tired, cranky and hormonal 24/7.

Eat at LEAST 1200 a day. Also water weight. Your body is getting adjusted.

Did I have a burrito, taco & a healthy helping of corn chips & queso. I sure did. Do I regret it? Not one bit.

Absolutely no point unless you have been diagnosed as a celiac or a gluten sensitivity.

Monday • Wednesday • Friday (5x5 Stronglifts + Accessory work) On off days I either do cardio, mobility or new workouts that I find to be fun (heavy bag training, abs, calves, etc)

This is probably the best response I've ever read on this forum board, ever. Also as long as you're pooping, peeing and sleeping right I don't think you have any need for a "cleanse" or "detox". That is what your kidney & liver is for.

Just to let you know I went on a cruise vacation recently. When I got back I weighed 5 pounds heavier. I picked back from where I left off with my calorie tracking, exercise regimen, supplements, etc. When I weighed in a week later I lost the 5 pounds (water weight) +1. Just to let you know it is possible to balloon around…

I don't specifically juice but from time to time its nice to have a cup of fresh vegetable & fruit juice. Just don't do one of those ridiculous juicing only diets. Those are dumb.

You can't spot reduce fat or "target" certain areas. Just keep working out & eating at your calorie goal. Read this article: http://www.hussmanfitness.org/html/TSInsideOut.html It will answer some of your fat loss questions & common myths.

Agreed. Look up Starting Strength and follow the program. I do that plus Cardio / Ab / Calve work on off days.

He should probably read this.

There are no differences in protein for men & women. Taking a protein powder is just an easier way of getting protein than eating say three full-sized chicken breasts. Woman can not "bulk up" or gain massive muscles by just drinking a protein shake. To gain manly muscles you would need steroids, alternatively to gain…

What is your diet like? Do you eat enough protein to get the proper amino acids your body needs? Maybe you should look into that? I've heard some people who have had knee grinding issues with squats & deadlifts...they said taking glutamine has helped. Basically it's an amino acid found naturally in meat, just ground up in…

No. As long as my strength gains are progressive I could care less if I'm sore or not. A lot of beginners look at it as a way of gauging whether or not they trained or worked out hard enough. Like I said as long as my numbers are progressing, I'm hitting all my sets & reps, then that is good enough for me. -bxd

From an article I read on IF they did a study that metabolic rate didn't start to decline until after 72 hours of fasting and it was only by 8% or so. Source: (http://www.muscleforlife.com/the-definitive-guide-to-intermittent-fasting/)

1. It's an eating pattern/style. 2. I love it. It's keeping me on track with my goals. 3. It doesn't. It's just a way to eat. Some people say you can "go all out" on your feeding hours/days but the rules of calories in/calories out still apply. If you fast for 16 hours and eat 5,000 calories you won't lose weight just…

I'm in the same boat as you. Sitting 7+ hours a day. I come home and workout for an hour and walk after dinner for 45-50 minutes. If I put that I was "Lightly" or "Moderately" active it would bump me up close to 2700+ calories a day net. I tried it for a few weeks at 2,500 and was only losing .5-ish a week when I'm already…

Dry mouth can also be caused by mouth breathing using the CPAP. Does your machine have a humidifier? Try turning it up to make the air have more moisture. You can also look into a chin strap to hold your jaw shut but I can't do that since my nose usually gets stuffy at night.

I know it's hard not to discuss it with others... My mother-in-law bought into some MLM bull**** program that swears to "bust belly fat" by drinking their shakes, cleanse & vegetable/fruit compound. It's funny that people think they can defy the laws of science and thermogenesis by drinking what really is a protein shake…

karinav89, any cardiovascular or strength training exercise regimen will yield results if followed with a good nutrition plan & calorie deficit. I haven't seen any Zumba specific success stories but I'm sure there are some out there that use Zumba as an exercise tool.
