  • Low Cal version - use humus and pico d'gallo instead of peanut butter and raisins
  • Stay away from the fried chips. Also flour tortillas have 2x the calories of corn. Beware of cheese and sour cream. Try chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. Portion control - Mexican restaurants tend to serve huge portions. Ask for a to-go box when they serve your food and put 1/2 in the box for tomorrow.
  • use decimals such as .75 for 3/4 of a serving or .5 for half of a serving
  • Unsweetened Almond Milk for your cereal - 40 calories in an 8oz serving. Kashi Go Lean Cereal - 140 calories in 1 Cup 1/2 cup of berries - 40 calories Total breakfast - 220 calories.
  • Tandori chicken is a good choice (baked in a clay oven). Be careful of the saucy dishes, they use a lot of ghee (clarified butter). Tastes great, but high cal. Also the Raita yogurt sauce is a good choice. Dahl or other lentil dishes should be ok as well.
