  • That's it! Thanks!! :flowerforyou:
  • I rarely drink but when I do it's only a couple (and that's all it takes). I try to alternate, and drink a glass of water for every alcoholic beverage I drink. Then I eat something when I get home...
  • I let myself have 6 chips and I break them in half (so it feels like more). HE HE I love the salsa!
  • Woo Hoo! Way to go!!! you look fantastic!
  • Maybe you need to replace your electrolytes that you lose during exercise. You should sip water during your workout. I drink 16+ ounces during my workouts. http://www.livestrong.com/article/41036-replace-electrolytes/ http://www.ehow.com/how_2209167_replace-lost-electrolytes.html
  • I do that too!! Or I drink a protein shake.
  • I read that coconut butter also can help with skin elasticity. Not sure if that's true. I've had two kids. my stomach does have a little loose skin but only noticeable when I push it all together or when I'm sitting in a bikini. Running has helped a ton! Cardio, weight and strength training help! You want to lose fat and…
  • I read that using ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and citric acid then freezing them works.
  • You win!!!
  • Our entire family loves avocados! They are great diced in Chicken tortilla soup, on top of chili, as a veggie dip, in place of mayo on a sandwich, sliced on top of a salad or inside of a wrap, mixed into salsa, diced on top of an egg white omelet or just plain with pepper! My kids love them too!!
  • well, it turned out I was a 17.9%! I'll take that for now! I'd like to be at 15-16%. I know it's not totally precise but the number made me happy!
  • Those are both hilarious stories! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks all for your input and suggestions. Almond milk doesn't have enough calories or protein. She won't drink coconut milk but I will try your other suggestions. I'm wondering if the Soy is causing problems with her weight gain. We see her ped ever 6 weeks and her GI doc. I will ask to speak to a nutritionist as well. We…

  • We're in the same boat... But I struggle to not go over 1250 calories if I don't exercise. I am 5'6" and I weigh 123 and want to get to 120. I'm am actually going to start focusing on muscle tone/definition and body fat % now that I'm in a size 4 and happy with that. So, pretty soon I'll be maintaining and I'm so excited…
  • Thanks! I should talk to her endo and see what he says. It's been about 8 months since we've been to him. We've been to the GI doc every 6 weeks for a year.

  • I looked up the nutrition info on goats milk and it seems to be higher in calories and fat than soy. My daughter has a redundant colon (too large for her abdomen and has an extra loop) and she is tested for celiac every 6 months (still comes up negative). She rarely eats anything nutritious (by that I mean fruits or…

  • My first pregnancy I gained 50 lbs. . . the 2nd one I only gained 37 (I say only because it was a lot less than my first pregnancy). I exercised more and had a toddler to take care of plus worked full time. I also made healthier food choices. Food tastes amazing while you are pregnant! I didn't realize until after I had my…
  • Thanks for that! I'm happy to know that falling is normal! LOL I'm sure I'll be in the "normal category" then!

  • 14 lbs is a great loss in 8 weeks! way to go! When you get down to your last 10-20 lbs it takes a long time.... you have to be more patient. I agree with adding in weight training. Build up those muscles...and keep doing cardio. On the days you lift weights just do 25-35 min of cardio. . . and zig zag your cardio workouts…
  • A day is 24 hours... So if you look at the 24 hour period as 1 day you could always make up for those calories at breakfast. =) Or do like the others say and eat a little extra throughout the day when you know you are going to work out.
  • http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=51354 I add corn and black beans a couple hours before serving. I serve on whole wheat tortillas or just eat plain! Very good!
  • So, I got curious as to why you can't ride a regular bike anymore and took a look at your profile. OH MY GOODNESS! You have been through so much! You don't let a thing get in your way! Congrats on all of your successes! You are an inspiration! I couldn't imagine riding a handcycle 44 miles per day! I wish I could ride my…

  • As I was changing sizes I shopped at Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross along with Target sales racks and Old Navy sales. Now I have all these size 8s, 10s and 12s sitting there. Some jeans, work clothes (slacks and large tops), cargo pants, long shorts.... If you want to pay shipping I'd be happy to send to you whatever is in…

  • When you start adding things back your body is going to be ultra sensitive. I suggest starting with things where the lactose is already partially broken down like yogurts.

  • Mine used to be french fries.... but now it's chocolate. So strange. I'm like you... I'll hunt for it til I find a bite of something chocolate to make my craving go away. It's not that I want something sweet, it's that I want chocolate... I never craved chocolate before my pregnancies.
  • Get some lactaid and take that before eating dairy. Lactose intolerance usually doesn't show up until late adolescence or adulthood. I'm lactose intolerant but I can tolerate low fat/non fat yogurt, cottage cheese, and cheeses. If it's full fat, that's usually when it bothers me. I do drink lactose free non fat milk…
