So I’ll either go straight from combat to pump of either running to pump. I find that intense cardio prior to pump gives me a greater burn since my heart rate is already up.

So I’m about 5’5. I initially went from 225 to 138 and I did not look very good. I did not look like my goal weight and was very flabby looking. A trainer recommended that I started to do some type of weight training so I joined a gym and started doing bodypump. Over the past couple years, I have definitely morphed. I look…

Ok so that seems to be about right. At first I was just focused on losing weight but when I got to my goal, I did not look very good. So I saw a trainer and he told me that I needed to start lifting to tone and shape. I didn’t want to get bulky, so I started doing bodypump. And it really did work. I gained about 10-12 lbs…

I’m very active. I generally workout two hours per day six days per week. My weight has slowly increased over the past year but so has the muscle mass it’s really hard to say. I’m not looking to really build that much more muscle but continue to shred more fat. The fat is going; but very slowly. With the 10 lbs increase,…

Yes. My goal is 1000 per day which usually takes about two hours. I do that 6 days per week, and then I do something light once per week.
-
I’ve gained muscle but I’ve lost fat. My clothes still fit the same even though the numbers on the scale is a little more.

My exercising is generally anywhere from 1.5-2 hours. 1600-1800 is just my calorie intake in general. It doesn't include anything that was burned. I want to lose. That is my goal. So even if I ate 2000 calories per day, once I minus the calories burned, I should still be losing something. I never weigh myself anymore…

I see. Makes sense. I can feel the bone and you're right; it's really like below the hips coming from the side of glutes.
-
This is true. I was actually thinking about genetics earlier. My sister is very thin. She always has been. She used to body build in her younger days and till this day, she's still totally fit. However, her hips are quite large in proportion to her body. I remember her always complaining about it when I was a kid. You've…

A couple years ago, I slowed WAY down with working out. I'd do it like once a week and it wasn't anything crazy either. I ate much less because I wasn't hungry. I did shrink and I remember being surprised at the fact I was losing more weight while doing nothing than when I was Killing myself. So bazaar. I think there is…

Makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

And how do I decrease glycogen stores?
-
I guess you're right. I'm trying to compare me to myself at my leanest and I have to realize that's far gone. Muscle definition will always look bigger than saggy fat and skin. Fat is soft and malleable. Muscle is firm.
-
See that's the thing; I have dropped a pants size; it's so weird. But I look bulkier. I just don't know. It's really just my hips that are bothering me. Do squats make them bigger?! I definitely have less body fat for sure but..,

Both

I usually do about 100 reps pulsing and so with about 60 lbs. But, my clothes fit better but I look bigger. I don't know. Maybe it's all in my head.
-
Yum mushrooms! Ok I could do like portobello burgers.
-
That's a good idea. I used to always keep almonds and pine nuts around for snacking. I need to go back that route.
-
Yep. I'm pretty sure that's it. I guess I'll have to do better.
-
Probably. It can't be fat. I couldn't get that fat that fast. I'm literally like 10 lbs bigger and look horribly dimply. And honestly, my water intake has been crappy.
-
Might have to... Too hungry. I can't sleep while I'm hungry.
-
Yea, I guess you're right. Every calorie is not created equal. I probably should go and grab a bowl of tofu or something. That always seems to hit the spot.
-
I just measured and the measure hasn't changed so it has to be body composition. So frustrating!!! But I'd rather be toned than floppy so I'll take it!
-
We've been doing a lot of oblique work too. I just know I've been feeling a lot in that General vicinity.
-
I was thinking that too. I'm just going to keep going to see how it all pans out.
-
I do not have actual numbers. But my waist looks bigger. However, my pants feel looser.
-
Awesome! Sounds like a plan. I will hopefully be down 10 lbs in the next couple months! Yahoo!
-
Thanks for the feedback and positive reinforcement. You're probably right and I just realized I don't think I gained 7 lbs of fat because I just lost 5 of them overnight lol
-
Maybe not gained muscle, but toned up what was there. Maybe a teeny weeny little mini bulk. I've definitely developed muscles I didn't even know existed. It's kinda amazing. I'm proud of myself!

Ok you're both right. This is a play on words. Muscle doesn't technically weight more; just more of it can be packed in a space. If you have two mason jars, one packed with muscle, one packed with fat, the one with muscle would weigh more. It's because it's dense and you can fill more of it in the container. :-)
