I grew about six inches the year I turned 12 so I have stretch marks on my lower back, inner and outer thighs. I hate them, but once I get this body in the shape it deserves to be, those stretch marks are the last thing I'm going to worry about. :)

Swimming is a moving meditation for me. So I try to focus on breathing and which lap I'm on. This way, I can quiet the monkey mind. I'm always surprised when my time is up.

I started Couch to 5K about a month ago. The treadmill is way easier on my lungs than trying to run outside. I can't seem to catch it at all outside. I had asthma as a child. Pretty sure I've outgrown it but never attempted to run or push my lungs in any way. So far, so good. It seems that they are able to keep up with the…

Forgot to say that I served it over Brown Jasmine Rice. I eat fish twice a week, but the rest of my meals are vegetarian. Feel free to add me if you want some ideas. I have a killer Vegetarian Chili Recipe.

http://www.marthastewart.com/313994/quick-chickpea-curry I made it with water. Next time (because there are only 3g fat per serving) I will try half light coconut milk and half water. Either way, it's yummy. I also try to stay under 1500mg sodium per day.

I just got the Polar FT4 and it has about a thousand adjustments on it. My wrists are about average and I'm mid-way through the squares. It looks like it would fit a small tree trunk. So you should be good to go. ;)

Honey has other benefits besides just being a sweetener. A teaspoonful of local honey a day will help with pollen-related allergies...among others. A quick google search will return lots of benefits that honey provides. I'd much rather have the real thing in small quantities than artificial sweeteners.

My cat gives me a hug every day when I come home from work. No lie. He jumps into my arms, put his arms around my neck and hugs. Tell me he isn't glad I'm around. Haha. He's also a Maine Coon so he walks to the beat of a different drummer.

You always comment with such patience! Good on ya'!

Soooooooo...we got free cookies from Quill one day. You know, the red tin with about four different kinds of cookies in it? Well, I love the oatmeal ones. Someone went to open the tin this one day and I tried to push off of my desk in my chair to roll over to the cookies before she could get one. (Sick, I know.) Well, I…

Nope. Not once. But my boss prefers us to just tell her the truth. "I need a personal day." And she's good with that.

It's definitely a much richer experience working together toward a common goal. Even if we all have different ways of getting there.

I've only JUST started running so I'm not sure I'm qualified to answer this question, but I do Yoga and swimming to cross-train. Yoga and swimming came first but I find that the three balance each other quite nicely.

^This. I gave up coffee at the beginning of the year because I was starting to have heart palpitations due to the caffeine. I started by replacing it with de-caffeinated green tea so I could still have something hot in the morning. But very quickly, I found that water was all I needed. The further away from caffeine I've…

I've never run in my life. Never. Not on purpose. Couch to 5K has been perfect for me. I didn't know I could run 60 seconds. And this week, I didn't know I could run 3 minutes. I never would've even tried without the structure.

Calories, Fat, Saturated Fat, Sodium, Protein and Fiber. MFP doesn't distinguish between added and naturally occurring sugars so that tool isn't useful to me.

I'm from Virginia Beach. Literally. I was born here. We are 80% military. This conversation really happened: "Where are you from?" Me: Virginia Beach "Oh that's in South Carolina, isn't it?" Riiiiiiiiiiight. Biggest misconception is that "Virginians" don't know how to drive. But 80% of the drivers on the road aren't FROM…

What about beans or hummus?

I'm a Pescetarian, but I limit fish to twice a week generally. I've never tried any of the meat replacers so I can't help you there. My best advice is to pick up some cookbooks. I like Power Foods and Food Light. They have meat recipes included with vegetarian recipes/options but it will help transition you into not eating…

75% of what I eat are veggies. My diary would be completely skewed if I didn't log them.

Congratulations! I'm on Week 3. I was so amazed last night when I hit three minutes straight. I have NEVER (not even as a child) run for three minutes straight. I appreciate your excitement and share it! Keep up the good work!

I read an article about her the other day; I think she's given up smoking.

MFP does not distinguish between naturally occurring sugar (as in fruit) and added sugar (as in a twinkie). You shouldn't have more than 24g of ADDED sugar a day. For this reason, I stopped tracking sugar on MFP. If you eat fruit at all, you will always be over. And no one can convince me that eating fruit is bad for me.…

I like calf muscles. I was in Paris during the World Cup in '98 and the streets were flooded with soccer players from all over the world, with their gorgeous leg muscles running all around. It was a beautiful time. :)

I use a mixture of corn meal and wheat germ when I'm trying to "bread" something. The taste is awesome! Throw in some cayenne pepper for a kick. Yum!

http://www.jujujerkystore.com/Articles.asp?ID=253 Looks like soy sauce and anchovies replace the salt.
