So glad to see this topic!!! I had a really rough 1st and 3/4 2nd trimester. So keeping ANYTHING at all down was the goal. The sickness really screwed with my pre-prego plan of working out throughout my pregnancy... I was lucky if I could walk 5 steps without getting sick. Now that I am feeling better: 1) I am focused on…

I am with you on this one. However, I change it up a bit due to my diet and find that it helps AND is healthier - whole grain English muffin - 1 Egg - morning star breakfast patty (vegetarian sausage patty which rocks when one has a hangover) OR - Fakin' Bacon (vegetarian bacon which is thick, filling and great tasting but…

i deal with it my having the PMS week be my off week/recovery week where I work out a bit less, giving my muscles more off days to build up and repair. It's great for preventing injury. also, i find snacks that help keep my pms craving crazy body happy and feel like i am getting away with something, but also aren't bad for…

string cheese is a good one and has a good amount of protein.

One thing to remember is that most doctors won't recommend ever going below 1200 calories because dropping below that will make your body save more fat and think it is being underfed. I started loosing weigh in May of last year and have just been going for more of a steady life style change focus more then just dropping…

just do a search for general fish and chips and make your best guess if the company you got it from isnt listed.

just think about how awesome it will feel when those pants not only fit, but become to big!

I often piece it together from the calories of the individual ingredients. If it is a meal i cook often I just add it to "my meals" so i don't have to do it over and over again. if i am lazy i just do a ballpark based upon websites like the one above.

wow. I am really not sure how they can get away with that

One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of the base rates are estimates. Some folks are going to have their own way of calculating that based upon whatever books/doctors formula they are using and whatever else they decide to throw into the mix to give themselves the best chance of being right for MOST people. It's a gave…

If you are unsure and really want to try to get it right i would suggest going with the lowest setting and then adding in activities as you do them. A bit more data entry but you could really drill down that way.

are you measuring yourself and not just weighing in? if you haven't really ever worked out before you are probably gaining quite a bit of muscle which can affect your overall weight gain/loss. Try measuring and always make sure you eat at least 1200 calories!

eating small meals throughout the day can really help when combined with the strength training, diet and cardio. eating smaller quantities but more often helps you feel fuller throughout the day (which becomes REALLY REALLY key when you have built a lot of muscle and are working out a lot) preventing any urge to snack on…

i did the couch to 5k and it was great. now i am working on a 10k training program and currently running 4 miles. it also encouraged me to join a running club, i have my first run tonight!

are you just starting to work out? Perhaps you gained quite a bit of muscle recently.

i <3 this thread, great idea! I used to be a long distance runner and after a long long break (which started due to an ankle issue and then turned to me not being able to get off my butt) I am finally getting back into things. Man, starting to run again is hard! Today I did 2.5 miles with no walking break at about 5.0 -…
