I have two daughters both on the Spectrum but very different. Bella(8) has just gone through diagnosis and is borderline - very different from her brother who is diagnosed and TBH we did not think ASD until the peads bought it up. She has a very small group of friends and is more obsessed with people than things. We have…

Before I got rediagnosed I was being treat for arthritis at the age of 16. At that point it was mainly in my hip and elbows although I would also get bone pain in other areas, The GI symptoms showed up later - mainly nausea. This is when the doctors twigged that I had been diagnosed with Coeliacs disease at the age of 2…

I would if I could but it makes me very ill.

Hi There is a gluten free group on here - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/129-gluten-free. I'm a coeliac and have been gluten free for over 20 years now. Feel free to add me.

I think this is the first common sense post about Dr Oz I have read. Coming from the UK the first time I came across him was when someone was talking about the 'benefits' of raspberry ketones.

bump as I'll watch the video when I get home but dont need a video to say that 160lb in six months is totally amazing. Well done.

i like to have a race with it. Normally I wake up with around 30% of my daily calories gone and I have to try and make it up to 50% by 12pm. Not so hard now I run in the morning.

Yes because fit bit works out much you are doing over a 24 hour period and just takes your calorie intake and divide it by 24. However as you can imagine you dont burn that many calories while asleep and so it gives you a minus when you wake up. Basically you dont burn 50% of you daily calories between 12.01 am and 12pm if…

but be careful of Soy Sauce as it tends to have wheat flour/gluten in.

Nice to find someone with the same allergies - I'm a coeliac but also cant have egg, soya and milk plus a few extra ones for good fun.

Ouch. Get plenty of rest and try walking for a few weeks. I know you said you haver got new shoes but did you get them fitted from a running shop where they watched you run? Have a look online at exercises that help to strengthen your leg muscles as i found this helped me - i use machines in the gym for this. Foam rollers…

Also judging by your profile you are female so it could TOM weight gain which is normal.

According to both my BMI and body fa t% I'm obese but AT THE MOMENT I'm healthy. I work out six days a week and eat well. I've recently had my bloods done and all my levels are very good and even have low blood pressure. However I'm not naive to believe that this will last into the future. As a person who enjoys looking…

I had it for about a year on my back. Slight itching and looked much worse than it felt. Finally disappeared when I stopped drinking decaff coffee - there is a process it goes through that can aggravate skin problems. Spots could also be an allergic reaction especially when working out - could be your washing powder and as…

Hi I started off with just over 100lbs to go and now have 40 to go. Please feel free to add me and would like to wish everyone good luck.
-
Well done on getting started. Wishing you all the best on achieving your goals. Family history of heart disease and diabetes was one of the reasons I needed to lose weight too.

From someone who cant have bread 'Enjoy and eat'. Obviously if you are eating 2 loaves a day and nothing else I would advise you to cut down but if you like bread why cut it out?
-
Loving it.

I usually have them pre workout if I'm exercising first thing. Have lots of dietary restrictions so they are an easy to go for food when short of time. must admit I'm funny with bananas and can only eat them when they start going slightly soft. As soon as they go a bit slushy or start smelling I cant eat them.

Ditto.

You also can not guarantee where the weight will go from - I've lost over 60lbs and have gone from a size 22 to size 18 pants but my tops have gone from an 18/20 to a size 14. Again is can also depend upon the store as I've noticed that some places are far more generous than others.

Must admit we have manly used for skin problems here although we do cook with it sometimes. Its brilliant for chickenpox spots and really helps with the itching.

Over a year but ended up with shin splints and other health problems. My max is now 3 miles without stopping and I run to the gym everyday which is just under a mile most mornings.

I'm sure its the first of Jan not April

I use chilli waterproof mp3 player. Dont use it swimming but it has great reviews on Amazon from those who do. I got it as a gift but it sells around £50 and it has special ear buds for those who are swimming.

Hi and welcome to the group. Must admit I do find MFP easy to use and to log ingredients as I cook most stuff from scratch.

Make sure it is black especially if you are running down unlit lanes are night. See how many drivers you can scare by jumping out at them.

Mines about the same. My PB for a 5k is 37mins. I'll just be happy with being able to do 5k under 35. There will always be someone faster/slower than you so dont worry about it just be proud that you are out there trying.
