  • There is some helpful advice in the comments section on here. http://www.healthaliciousness.com/recipes/how-to-cook-buckwheat.php Going to try it as it is gluten free.
  • sorry cant help on the pasta front but love the profile pic - a DR.Who fan by any chance?
  • I would suggest the same thing. just log your normal eating habits for a week and see what you are actually eating. I know in the UK they only recommend an extra 200 calories in the last trimester.
  • Mine is more time wise/safety. I tend to be running late evening and so tends to be inside. I'd rather run outside but its not safe around here in the evenings.
  • I would also try and start and save a little money each week - only a few dollars/pounds and wait till next year. Everybody will be buying gym equipment in the new year and then get fed up and you will be able to find it cheap on selling sites such as gumtree/craigslist.
  • Wow what an interesting thread. Actually just wanted this on my news feed.
  • Maybe you are getting sick because you workout to much. From my 'wonderful' mum. Nope because my lovely children/hubby have given me their bug.
  • I was hoping for some answers too as I need wireless ones as I'm a total clutz when it come to headphones. Managed to send my phone down the treadmill the other night at the gym but would not stop as half way through a run.
  • I'm not a violent person but would also smack them. Does she hand out more to 'skinny kids'?
  • Sorry dread to think what Erotic Melancholy is. Too much porn? On the advice of the Chiropractor i would be very wary as it is lightly he is selling something or in this case the services of his mate the naturopath.
  • Just like to say welcome to MFP. I had to write a reply as I was originally from Norfolk though now live in Yorkshire. Would like to wish you all the best and if you would like to add me a friends feel free to do so. Not brill on the macros but would increase the protein and lower the fat a little bit.
  • Hi I have 4 kids ranging from 14 years to 3. The two older are boys and the two younger are girls. The eldest has a diagnosis of Autism but is high functioning. My eldest girl has just been assessed and is borderline and the 3 year old is under going diagnosis.. I'm a stay at home mum but also studying for a degree in…
  • Hi Nic I''ve been on here for over 18 months and 61lb down and another 40 to go. I know you are looking for people who are just starting but you if you like to add me please do. Good luck
  • My ex husband was the same. I signed up for A Tough Mudder and he kept asking me if I was going to be able to do it. One the day I was not struggling to finish BUT there was that thought in the back of my mind of the joy of texting him at the finishing line so he could tell the kids i did it. And yes it did feel good!!
  • I pay £200 a year for a local gym. It has two floors of equipment and all classes are free. I can in as often as I like and its open between 6.30 am and 9 pm.
  • I think the 1.5 calories or if you are drinking a 500ml bottle 3 will be spent opening the bottle and lifting it to your mouth. If you really want to make sure you get rid of those excess calories you could also walk to the cupboard, get a glass and then wash the glass up after using.
  • I am about the same size and have been buying Nike high impact ones and I o everything in them including running with no problems. The high impact can be hard to track down - sometimes in Sports Direct but also f you go onto their website and find the name and then go to amazon it can be lot cheaper.
  • One thing I notice that there are those on here that are very willing to judge someone's parenting skills because they have used a harness. There seems to be some on here that are quick to blame the parents for lack of training or just pure laziness. I liked to think in most cases those parents are trying to keep their…
  • Glad I'm not the only one who hated the electric shocks. The worst one for me was the electric eels as the fit guys in front me moved much slower and then stopped at the end so I ended up going round them and getting shocked 6 or 7 times in a few seconds. I did enjoy the feeling when done but dont think I'll do it again.
  • I do sometimes. My 3 year old is undergoing a diagnosis of autism and has sensory issues. One thing she hates is too do is hold hands and as she often wont walk far I have to take a pushchair and also walk her across busy roads. She is also a runner and has no sense of danger and it is very difficult to have her 'under'…
  • I normally have a bag of nuts and maybe a banana if my calories are low around 10pm. I often go for a run around 9 so like to fuel up afterwards.
  • Thank you - going to have to have a look as I miss doughnuts too due to coeliacs disease
  • I eat what i like and work it in with my calories. I don't have the cleanest diet but I'm happy and this is a relationship for life. Because I have lots of food allergies and intolerances ( and a coeliac) my diet is restrictive enough and when I find something i like I eat it in moderation.
  • On my 2nd marriage and it will be 3 years come this November ( lasted longer than my last). Have 4 children - two boys 14 and 9 and two girls 8 and 3.
  • Think you need to sit him down and talk to him. Maybe also go on strike about doing his washing etc - you are both working so you should both do the chores. Just put yourself in his shoes - Would you do the chores when there is someone else 'willing' to take over. Yes he is treating you like his mum but you are also…
  • I have to take water on every run as a dry throat sets my asthma off. I tend to carry a water bottle but if it long distance like Tough Mudder I carry a water bladder.
  • Just looking through your diary and there are a few issues. 1) Way too much sodium - lots of crackers. 2) Where are the fruit and vegetables? - I would feel awful if I ate as little as you do. 3) A can of pepsi is not a meal and what nutritional benefits doe sit give you. 4) You can still have things such as bacon but why…
  • Just be rewatching Torchwood and in tears when Owen and Tash (sp) died. Supernatural has had me in tears a few times but when Bobby died that made me bawl.
  • Would love to lose 6 lbs so that I'm not obese for my birthday which is the 23rd.
  • I cant eat fish with small bones. I was force fed sardines when I was a kid. I love the taste of fish but could only eat salmon and tinned tuna up to recently. Actually cooked some trout last week and managed to eat a small fillet.
