I think you should log what you remember having. Once you sit down and start entering you might remember more. This will help you the next time you are in a similar situation. If you don't remember all of it, don't fret it. It's more for education than anything else. As Melissa said, I'd call it a wash, but still log it…

Welcome and good luck!! You can do this. This is such a terrific place for support (and a good butt kicking) if you need it. I also did not make any new years resolutions. I made a goal to be down 75 pounds from my start weight by the end of the year. The goal, instead of a resolution, to me is easier to live by. I have 11…

I made a crockpot of chili yesterday for dinner and what was left I put 1cup into bowls and took them to work for my lunches all week. (279 calories)

I just got finished with one of those "weeks". I craved everything not good for me. I came back with a better attitude today, I restarted with my "cleansing" (no grains for 2 weeks, sort of an induction for the South Beach diet). This helps me to rid myself of all of my cravings. I did very good today, until a few minutes…

Add me, I need to lose half of me

Sorry, fiber one bars are 150 calories. Was trying to go by memory. LOL
-
I get the generic fiber one bars, delicious, high in fiber 120 calories. Nuts are a good one too. Cottage cheese (I add a sugar free cup of pears to it for sweetness).

Welcome!! Friend request sent.

Way to go!! Yes you do lose faster in the beginning. I would advise you to stay at what you are doing a little while longer to see if the loss slows a down. If it doesn't then you may need to adjust some. Welcome and keep up the good work.

You should record sugar free gum, it has about 5 calories per stick. When I do chew it, I always put it in my diary.
-
Dang!! Sorry to hear about this. Try just walking a little faster for the time being. Or if the pain is not to much, try dancing around to stimulate the cardio. I wish I could help more, but I have not been in this situation.

Don't be so down on yourself. You're doing great, 5 pounds is terrific. It will come off just keep working at it. We have all been there, so we understand what you are going through. I have myself been in a bit of a rut. Haven't been able to update my weight for about 4 weeks, due to it either being up 1 pound or nothing…

One time is not going to ruin all of your hard work at being healthier. Sometimes we need to "indulge" ourselves to keep us on track. I was in the habit of stopping every morning on my way to work for a sausage biscuit for breakfast. I have since started eating an order of scrambled eggs with whole wheat toast. Tuesday was…

Welcome!!! This is a great place to start your journey to a new you. The encouragement will keep you motivated and the food diary will help you understand what your body needs and what it doesn't. Good luck with your lifestyle change.

Nice job!!! Keep going, you can do it. And welcome.

My goal for 2011, is to keep losing the weight and getting healthy. To do this, my intentions are to do the workouts more often (only doing 2 - 3 times a week), and to start eating the healthier foods whether I like it or not (more of a meat and potato person):ohwell: . I am hoping I will learn to like the fruits and…

My new "thing" is to use my slow cooker (alot). I have several recipe books for slow cookers and have gone through and marked the recipes that would most please my family. My favorite is to make chicken fajitas on whole wheat tortillas. When I go to the store, I usually buy to large packages of boneless, skinless chicken…

Hi. I would say if you are comfortable with just going after your long term goal that is fine. I set some short term goals because it will help me personally get a boost once I reach each one. I need the self motivation, but if you don't then you shouldn't worry about it.

Welcome to MFP! This is a terrific place to get motivation (and sometimes a swift kick in the behind if needed). I love your attitude towards your new goal. Add me as a friend if you want and we will motivate each other.

I know it seems like its not going away, but it is. Bought a shirt last night for a wedding coming up and had to get 2 sizes smaller (didn't realize how big my old shirts actually were). My pants are still the same, because the hips aren't going down as well as the rest of me. Hang in there, you will see the difference…

My chocolate cravings get satisfied by the York pieces. When the "itch" grabs me, I get out 5 pieces and it satisfies the crave (only 17 calories).
-
That is delicious!!!!! I used to do that all of the time.

Welcome, I have been here since Setember and I love this site. I find it so easy to log my food and exercise. I have averaged losing between 1 to 1 1/2 pounds weekly since beginning here. I was not able to do that before finding MFP. So again welcome and I hope you get the benefits out of MFP that I have.

I had the same problem with eating yesterday. Went way over on calories, even with going to the gym. Some days are like that. Started bad first thing in the morning with breakfast and continued all day. Some days are like that, but not as many as there used to be. Don't beat yourself up over one day. Everyone…

OMG!! So true.

You have made the first BIG step, recognizing your weaknesses and knowing what you need to do to get started. I think it is terrific that you want to get into better shape and show off for you husband when he returns home. (BTW, thank him for me) I don't think I could have thrown away a soda (if I were a soda…

Welcome Delphine. Great to meet you!!! There will be a lot of support on this sight. I have become obsessed with it. I too have been overweight since the birth of my first son (30 years ago) and am serious about losing it for good. I have found MFP is very helpful and the encouragement from friends is terrific. Good luck…

Hang in there!!! We all know what you are going through, but in the long run it will all work out. I have had bad days also, was way over on calories, fat and sodium last Sunday  But I jumped back on my fitness wagon and was under my calorie and fat goal for the rest of the week. I just came from the grocery store and…
