I have a similar goal, I am shooting for 146 lbs. We can do this. It just takes time, patience, and will power.

About a week ago, ate a banana, they kill me. WWTLTY played hookey from work?

I'm in have 146lbs to lose. I entered a challenge a few days ago to give up something for the month of October. I gave up my much loved potatoes (all types). I am going to challenge all of you to give up something for October also.

Way to go!!! :flowerforyou: Keep it up. That is a great success.

I get Aunt Millie's Healthy Goodness Light Whole Grain Bread, 70 calories for 2 slices.

Terrific job!!! I also have "skinny" clothes in my closet. I bought shirts and capri jeans on clearance when I was doing a diet 3 years ago. Never got into them. But I am determined that they will fall off of me next summer. Keep up the good work.

Sorry for your break up. As far as the PMS, I think you should go to the doctor for YOU not the ex boyfriend. There could be more going on, or it could be you need a change in any meds you are currently taking. Good Luck.

Welcome Denise, I hope you find MFP as helpful as I have. I find myself being obsessed with what my calorie intake is. I have even logged my dinner (if I know what I am having) prior to eating so I know how many calories I can have. The other night after dinner, I was logging mine and my husbands dinners and saw we both…

I agree, this is hard for everyone. Don't be so hard on yourself. You can do this!!! Temptation is just that...temptation. I am finding that once I start saying "no" it gets easier the next time. You need to take that first step and just say no. Yesterday we had a fund raiser at work, everyone brought in food for a…

About 2 weeks ago. WWTLTY you told someone you love them?
-
Love this!!! Will have to try it since Ranch is the only dressing I like and sooooo high in calories.

That was good of your colleague to think enough of you to bring something for you to participate in the celebration. I have the opposite colleagues at work. Just about all are "healthy" eaters. Before my "lifestyle change", I had trouble with "enjoying" the treats brought in. What a difference MFP makes!!! Keep up the good…

Terrific!!! :flowerforyou: Keep up the good work. And thanks for the inspiration (need to lose half of myself).
-
Welcome!!! I have been here about 2 weeks. I LOVE MFP. I have become obsessed with logging everything and reading the posts. Sending friend request. Good luck with goal.

Ha! Figured it out!! Reply with "Quote"...lol

OK that didn't work like I wanted it to!!:blushing: I was trying to reply on someone else's statement. How is that done?

I was a chunky kid. Both parents had to work, and I pretty much was allowed to eat whatever I wanted. A little neglectful? Yes. Abuse?? Very far from it. My brother is close to 500 lbs, he is 40 years old and he still blames my parents for giving him whatever he wanted. I say, grow up! Youre a big boy. My parents did give…

I had that problem at one time. Now I try to keep some calories free after I have my dinner to have a snack at night. I eat 3 meals a day and have 2 to 3 small snacks a day. If you eat healthy and light snacks, you will find that you are not as hungry. Extra water helps also. I also include a glass of milk (1% low fat)…

We all "fall off the wagon" once in a while. Last Sunday I had a similar incident. I just couldn't seem to get enough to eat. I even grabbed a bag of chips and ate quite a lot (didn't count out serving). I was feeling down about it. I logged all of it the next day. I was soooo mad at myself!!! I went to the gym next…

Way to go!! This site is terrific. It's amazing how much we get into habits and don't realize the damage they do to us. Since being on MFP I have changed alot of my "bad" habits. The dialy logging of calorie intake and exercise has got me very motivated. I even took my 85lb lab for a walk last night around the neighborhood…

Hi ausrod, welcome. I also have found that the calories in some of the things I would eat are extremely high. Since being with MFP, I have changed alot of my habits. I log everthing I eat. The other night I was finishing up my diary and realized I could treat myself with a fat free fudge bar and still be under my calorie…

Welcome to MFP. We are all here to help. Good luck with your "lifestyle change".

Way to go!! I am also getting into those "good" habits. We are planning a trip to Red Lobster for dinner with friends tonight. They have all you can eat shrimp going on. My husband and I went through the database and looked at the menu. We have written down what we are having according to the calories we can "spend". MFP…

This is sooo great!!! I've lost chemical additives an American consumes each year and my goal is to lose an average adult woman and a rack of baby back ribs. :noway:

Last night...making baked beans for a fund raiser car show at work. WWTLT you looked at yourself in the mirror and like what you saw?

York pieces - 50 pieces 170 calories. I just grab 5 - 10 at a time (and yes I do log them)
-
I find that eating 5 to 6 times a day - breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack - keeps me from being too hungry and gets me to the calories I need to be at daily. Good luck!!
-
Wow!! You just taught me a thing or two. My husband lost quite a bit of weight a couple of years ago (we were both on "A lifestyle change") and he still says he needs to lose 5 - 10 more pounds. I keep telling him he's crazy. Thanks so much, you showed me I need to be a little more understanding to his feelings.
-
Welcome Tim!!! MFP is terrific for helping you work towards your goal. Good luck!!
