I just finished day 2 of eating paleo. I can't say whether I'll want to eat this way forever, but so far so good. I haven't felt too hungry and I'm down 2 pounds already. If you're gonna give it a try, feel free to friend me :)

I am 5'8" and my goal is to be around 175 which is a weight I've been at before and was happy with. I think it depends a lot on body type. If I were an apple shaped person and those last few pounds were all belly I'd probably want to lose it, but I know that for me, at 175 all that's left is butt and thighs and I like…

I don't think it really matters for overall weight loss, but personally I like the way my stomach looks in the morning and the way my pants fit if I didn't eat for a couple hours before bed. It's good for my motivation to wake up feeling a little thinner than I was the day before.

Love it!

I'd be happy with a size 10, satisfied with a size 12. I have been this size before and it was a very comfortable place for me.

I'm 5'8 and the BMI chart says I should be below 165, but my goal weight is 175. I've been that weight before (briefly) and the last 10 pounds is all butt and thighs and I'm NOT interested in losing those.

Wow, how tall are you? You look amazing for 250 (and amazing in general)!
-
Your back looks beautiful in that "after" picture. Great job!

I think that as long as you are under your calories you will still lose weight, it's just that it is SO MUCH HARDER to really stay under calories on bad food. Like, say you are trying to stay under 1400 calories per day. You could eat a Big Mac for lunch and another one for dinner and be at your daily limit (without any…

"I thought you were looking for me." Love it!

"I'm getting better!"

My weight for Friday was 189, so a loss of 2lb this week. I was hoping for more but that's not too bad!

I've been off the wagon so long that I forgot how it is that first week of a reduced calorie diet... my stomach feels so empty! I know that if I can stick with it for a couple days more, my stomach will shrink down and it will get a lot easier, but man, these first couple days are hard. Gotta keep drinking a ton of water…

Hello everyone! My name is Julianne and I'll be participating in this group with all of you. About me: I'm a 26-year-old woman with 3 jobs (yes, 3!) and I work about 70hrs a week behind various desks. Because of my schedule, exercise time is limited to mostly the weekends and maybe one day a week late at night and I need…

ME: 3 ~ LNS: 0

I'll weigh myself in the moring and use that for my starting weight, since I haven't weighed-in in a while (scared of the results!). I'll be brave tomorrow, though. -Julianne

I'd like to join! I usually weigh in on Fridays and looking to lose at least 20 lbs

Haha, sandybeah, did you notice that I post a similar story every 5 months? Yeah, it's tough to stick with. This IS the time!

I'd like to join, as I started the very same resolution on Sunday night. My cutoff time is 8pm and so far so good: ME: 2 ~ LNS: 0

I am 5'8" and currently about 190 (up from my previous low at 179. ARGGGHHH!). I wear a size 12 or sometimes 14 in certain cuts of clothing. I am fortunate to be one of the "plus-size model" types mentioned above: larger in size but with a flat stomach. I buy tops in size M, L or XL depending on brand, and wear a size 8.5…

That is really, really impressive! My best outside time on a 5k is 35 minutes and like 33 minutes on the treadmill (and I'm PROUD of those times), so 20 minutes seems impossible to me. Great job!

242 was my starting weight and now I am 184. You can do it!

My parents were excited for me. One of my sisters was pointedly uninterested. She kinda resents my weight loss and has told me so. You see, we used to be fat together. It's ok though, I still love her! She will get there herself eventually.

My mind is seriously blown by your awesomeness. You started 2 months after me and you have had such steady success. I am honestly jealous or your ability to keep it up like you have. Hats off to you!

I chose a weight that will put me a couple of pounds below my maximum "healthy" BMI (so if I eat a big meal it won't make me "overweight" again. Haha.) It is also the lowest weight I have ever been since reaching my full height and I was very happy and comfortable at that size.

I don't have any specific tips to offer, other than encouragement that IT CAN BE DONE. I have lost 60 pounds in the last year and all the while I have been working 3 jobs, between 55 and 80 hours per week. You will have your weeks where is seems easy and those where it seems hard. Expect a lot from yourself, but also cut…

I also get less hungry when I exercise, especially with good hard cardio like a 3 or 4 mile run. I think it maybe has to do with the endorphins giving me the feel-good that I might otherwise be unconsciously looking for in food.

I have been on alli off and on for a year while I have been losing my weight. I have found it pretty helpful and not experienced an unacceptable amount of treatment effects.
-
Good for you! I remember that feeling of getting my first size 12s. Now I have been in them for about 2 months and I needed a post like this to put a taste in my mouth for that thrill of the next new size. Size 10, here we come!

I have always heard people talk about how hard the last 15 pounds are. Like clockwork, I got to 15 pounds shy of my goal and hit a brick wall. I have yet to overcome that. In fact I have gained 3 back. Boo.
