There are good CF gyms, and bad ones. The problem with CF is that the individual gyms aren't regulated. Find a good CF gym with good programming and I think it's amazing. I don't think you should join CF "because one opened down the street" because that doesn't mean it's a quality place. I know you didn't say that, but…

What you're feeling is totally normal. Your body is used to running on carbs/sugar for energy. It's transitioning to using fat for energy. I felt this way for the first week or two of paleo. Paleo does NOT have to be low carb though, eat more sweet potatoes and squash. Your energy will come back, stick with it. ;)

Surprise. If I knew I'd be less likely to go.

Love it!!

I agree with pp, you should be using your legs/core more than your arms. My legs are sore after rope climbs, but not usually my hands.

I'm down! I did the same thing you did, OP. I did a Whole30 in August, lost 12 pounds and 3.1% body fat. Then we went to Disney World and September has, overall, been a bust. I usually can keep my diet pretty clean after a W30, but going to DW right after we finished was impossible! haha. Would anyone be interested in…

When I eat dairy, I'm really congested and blowing snot every morning. When I eat grains I bloat up and feel super *bleh* after the meal with grains. Believe it or not, I poop a lot better without the grains too. There is plenty of fiber in fruits and vegetables. :)

It's really hard for me to believe you're talking about me! haha. After 2 kids, I never thought someone would say they actually WANT *MY* abs.

Thank you! Paleo & CrossFit! :)

Yeah, I have had 2 babies. Forgot to mention that (although the little one is in my profile pic). One is 3.5 and the other just turned 1.

I can't edit this post, not sure why.... Here is a smaller PIP so you can (hopefully) actually see it.

The LOW fat focus of paleo?! You mean the high fat? I'm confused. Paleo is definitely not a low fat diet!
-
Bingo!!! Paleo, honestly, is a complete lifestyle change. I don't think you'll be successful if you're in it just to lose weight. Not to mention that you'll bloat back up once you add grains back into your diet. I really like living Paleo. My skin is clearer, I sleep better, I have more energy, I don't have that nasty…

I'm not sure if this was mentioned, but I greatly benefitted from doing Whole30 (whole9life.com/whole30). It's a more strict version of paleo for 30 days, no cheats.

I know comparing myself to someone else isn't the healthiest thing... but if we're just playing a game here... I choose Camille Leblanc-Bazinet (crossfit competitor):

I lift heavy, but at CrossFit not at home.

I tend to agree with you! I almost never buy a physical book anymore. All the paleo books I have purchased are on my iPad and I cook so much from recipes online that my iPad rarely leaves the kitchen ;)
-
usually over 90g/day

I'm on day 20! I'm not weighing myself either. It's hard! I think I have been allowed myself too much dried fruit and/or dates when I'm craving sugar. I really need to stay on top of this and not give into my sugar cravings with sugar!

holy.crap. That was totally worth the 5 minutes it took me to read that. LOL!!!

I got a LOT of dirty looks when I was 25+ weeks pregnant, over with all the burly men, doing snatches and cleans at the gym :) I just did it with confidence and didn't really care. You can do it!

Yessir! ;)
-
That is interesting! Looks like I'm a solid intermediate. I'm cool with that ;) for now.

If I was super worried about time, I would have never tried pull ups without a band in a WOD. Yes, I sucked at it the first several times and my time suffered, but now I'm much better at pull ups and always do them RX'd. :)

You look young enough to be your hubby's daughter! Wow! Fantastic, really inspirational.
