Thanks so much! I'm really proud.

Thanks all! And thanks for fixing the pictures. Ann

I just did a mammoth purge. Three HUGE black trashbags of clothes that were too big, outdated, never to be worn again. It was an awesome feeling. Looking forward to the next and final purge!

I am at the end of Week 5 of C25K. I'm doing Week 5 Day 3 today. I've been doing 3 runs a week with the app. I have found it to be a challenge--more psychological than physical. I am surprised at my horror at the length of the running segments, and then I do them--pushing, but do them. I highly recommend the program. I am…

I'm at over 200 days....and down 75 pounds and counting!

OMG--I think your performance was amazing. Not to mention how brave you were to sign up and not only attempt the mud run....but, to do it. To finish STRONG. You are awesome, amazing and fierce and you should be very proud. I hope when I do my first 5K (not a mud run--straight 5K, no obstacles) I'll have as good of a…

Hi Jessica.... My name is Ann. I'm not exactly what you are looking for. I'm 54, a single mom of an almost 11 year old daughter. I live in San Francisco, but work in Oakland at Children's Fairyland. Friend me, if you'd like. I'm doing a 5K in Alameda on June 8.

Thank you! It has been hard work...but, it has totally paid off. Ann

I'm a total "stepping" success story. I participated in a pedometer based study at UCSF Medical School that began in September. I was in a group that used a pedometer ( a very large cluncky medical grade pedometer) and a phone app that you had to interract with twice per day--once in the morning, and once at night. The…

Congratulations to you. That is just awesome. I'm just about halfway there! I've lost almost 64 pounds (since October 15). I'll be halfway to my goal in 2.4 pounds! So, hopefully next week. I've been eating 1500 calories per day. And walking 12,000 steps a day. I will say that I reliably get my steps in on Friday,…

You look great. You should be very proud. And thank you for posting, with the pictures. I've also lost just shy of 58 pounds....but, it is so hard to see the progress on your own body. Your pictures gave me some perspective on my own progress. I'm grateful!

I don't have any real suggestions, although I would try a bunch of different things and see what works and what makes this process the most liveable and long lasting for you. I eat alot of protien. Hardboiled eggs (which I love), greek yogurt, cheese sticks, nuts (that I can control how many I'm eating), peanut butter,…

annlsinger I started on October 15 in a study at UCSF. It is a pre-diabetes prevention study and the there are three components: walk 12,000 steps per day (they do a baseline assessment of your average daily steps for two weeks at the beginning and you start at that level and increase by 20% each week), count and log…

Maybe you need to find some new friends. Not ditch the old ones, by any means. Just add some new ones!

Thanks so much everyone. Just so proud!

Thanks everyone for your support. I totally appreciate it. I look forward to posting when I'm below 40%!

I'm here for the ong haul. I've lost 37 pounds since October 15, and have a rigorous walking program in addition to other excercise in place. Am eager for any and all friends.

I've lost 37 pounds since October 15 thanks to MFP, a rigorous walking program, and a Facebook group of excercisers and for lack of a better word "dieters.' I easily have another 100 pounds to go, although for the moment I have a goal of 94 more pounds. And once I get there, I'll see what the next step is. Please add me.…
