I have no advice on how to do that in a healthy way. Just keep doing what you're doing. Drink plenty of water so you can release that water weight and avoid sodium so that you don't retain water.

me too! With the exception of brownies and chocolate, I'm not big into sweets either as far as cakes and pastries go. I prefer fresh fruit when I want something sweet!
-
Oh yeah! Fiber One brownies are good too, and the chocolate chip cookie ones!

I keep a Dove dark chocolate bar in my desk at work for when I have a craving. I usually take 2 squares and it does the trick. I didn't like dark chocolate in the past but I find that if it's milk chocolate, I would eat the entire bar so I started using the dark to satisfy that urge and it works well. I've actually started…

I forgot to mention, it's about 3 hours from DC (Sharp Top, I mentioned in the next post)

Bring comfy shoes for walking the strip in Vegas! My sister honeymooned there and came back with blisters on her feet.

This would be a perfect time to burn some cals hiking in Virginia! Sharp Top is amazing! http://www.hikingupward.com/jnf/peaksofotter/

I agree with this. I was thinking you should do some hiking in Virginia, Tennessee, or NC. I'm not sure if you're into hiking, but the views from the top are amazing!

I like strawberries and almonds in my salad too!

I *KINDA* want to try this bc a friend is encouraging me to do so BUT I suck at climbing and I'm afraid of heights. The comment "a long way down" makes me really second guess.... :indifferent:

My son would love this! Two of his favorite foods!

I LOVE how this thread quickly became about CORN DOGS! LOL!

*raises hand* Hi. My name is Kim and I'm a chocoholic... I keep a Dove dark chocolate bar in my desk at work for occasional cravings. I finished it week before last and I'm tempted to replace it today but since I don't have any cash to use the vending machine, I'll manage to resist. I can't believe I went an entire week…

Thanks for the link. I usually don't eat anything after my workout because I do it after my son is in bed, about 2 hours after dinner. Sometimes I feel like I need to though, so I was hoping to find out the best options. I haven't started lifting yet, but I think when I do, it'll be in the mornings followed by a protein…

I read it. Makes sense to me. I usually avoid high GI foods later in the day so I guess now I could have some higher GI fruit after my evening workout. I like the suggestion of cereal and milk as I often have that as a late evening snack.

very nice

I always want to skip work for the gym LOL. That's why I'm trying to become a trainer. I've lost track of that vision over the past week or two so thanks for reminding me WHY! :flowerforyou:

I would like to hear some more myself.

This is FAR from the truth in my case. A good theory I suppose but no. I was NOT depressed and I was prescribed Cymbalta, an anti-depressant, which also works for pain. 3 months later, I began to have agressive thoughts and thoughts of suicide. The withdrawals from coming off of this caused these and other side effects to…

In my opinion, this is not adorable. This is controlling and obsessive and it will most likely get worse. If you really love him you wouldn't be considering dating someone else which means you shouldn't be considering marrying him if you don't love him. What I would suggest if you want to keep him and think you have a good…

LOL!!! HILARIOUS!

this. I think this is where I'm at. I think it's phycological. My goal is 180 even though that's higher than what it should be, but once I get there, I will continue to live healthy and see what happens. I didn't want to set my goal too low and not be able to meet expectations. That said, since I got to 190.5, I have been…

I have been doing a lot of that lately. It's like I'm suddenly 'tired' of healthy foods and I'm in that "I don't give a crap" mood when it comes to diet and exercise. I forced myself back on track yesterday and I did quite well up until late in the evening when I had a craving for a Snickers Ice Cream Bar! Good thing I was…

I find that when I allow myself more calories, I tend to grab less healthy foods. Make sure you have healthy snacks around, even if they are more calorific, such as avacado or nuts.

I lost 47 lbs in the first 6 months by exercising daily. Walking, Curves for Women, Zumba, Swimming/Water Aerobics and a 1200 calorie diet. At that time, I wasn't working so I had plenty of time to workout and prepare meals. It was also Summer so weather was nice, pool was open, and my favorite produce was much fresher. In…

What were your side effects?

It feels exactly how it sounds. It's an extreme tingle (electric shock type feeling) that goes through your head. Mine went from behind my left ear and "zapped" over to the back of my head. It's very uncomfortable and sometimes painful.
