All those answers are out there at reputable sites, like WebMD, etc. I love MFP for what it is, a place to track goals and meet people with similar goals, but do NOT take medical advice from fellow members. That's like getting the info for your research paper from Wikipedia. Everyone on here means well, but I'm sure very…

It will definitely happen for you if you stick with it. I take meds for my thyroid, so it doesnt affect my weight loss. Only the late night cookies affect my progress. You can do it!

Maybe he really doesn't know how to cook. Take a Sunday afternoon teaching him how to cook 3 or 4 dishes. You'll have your dinners cooked for the week, and he will at least have a handful of items he can make. Keep it simple though; they can't handle too much info at a time :) Good luck!

I tore mine, and it took almost a year to heal enough for me to be really active again. Even now (2 years later), it still bothers me a little if I don't stretch out before exercise, but it no longer keeps me from being able to be active. Mine looks ridiculous though; it's half the size of my other calf muscle.

You still lose weight because you are still netting under 1200 a day (ie. eat 1200 - 300 burned +300 eaten = still only 1200 total, which is a big calorie deficit than the 2000+ your body burns naturally in a day) . I personally only eat back if I earn more than 600 in a day, and then I only eat back half.

I only really know about the South. If you wanna see Texas, San Antonio is the prettiest city & Austin is where the nightlife is. Also, Savannah, Georgia is awesome! Go to Arizona & New Mexico if you wanna see the Old West...cowboys & Native Americans and such.

Depends on your weight. I weigh 205 lbs. At first I was just using the "Dancing - Aerobic" exercise which says I burn 446 calories per hour, but then I started wearing a Heart Rate Monitor, and it said I was burning 552 per hour, so I created a Zumba exercise using that info. Hope that helps.

I'm in!

My usual routine is 1800-2100 cals burned per week, so this is gonna be a real challenge, but I'm gonna give it everything I got. Week 1 Weekly Goal: 3500 Mon: calories burned (how they were burned) Tues: Wed: Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Total: Left to go:

bump! Thanks!

I quit a job once only 5 hours into my 1st training day.

It was OK for me! I lost 47 pounds doing Weight Watchers a few years ago, and my husband and I went out for Italian food every Friday night during that time where I got anything I wanted. Of course, that weight is back now, because after reaching goal, everyday became a cheat day :( That's a different story!

lol...Thanks for the thoughts guys. Just FYI, It's not so I can eat the calories back; it's so I can track my weekly activity to see if I've reached my minutes per week goal, and I don't record every time I do a chore....only when I'm doing a big job, ie. scrub the house for hours at a time. Thanks again.
-
Well, I was only recording days where I did "deep cleaning"...like 3-4 hours non-stop or something out of the ordinary. Plus I try not to eat them back. Thanks.

"Anything you do above and beyond your daily routine is exercise." [/quote] During the summer I have my activity level set at sedentary because I am not teaching in a classroom walking, bending, moving. In addition, I don't clean my bathroom every day! Neither do I scrub my floors, run the vacuum nor mow the lawn everyday!…

Thanks so much for the info. Just so you know, I did join 1.5 years ago because my friend asked me to, but I didn't really do anything. I've only been dieting for 2 weeks now, so the 5 pounds has come off in the last 2 weeks, not over 1.5 years...lol. Thanks again for the help.
-
Cool! I'll check them out. Thanks!
-
LOL!!! I haven't gone so far as to count brushing my teeth as exercise, but I see your point. Thanks!
-
WoW!! You guys are awesome. Thanks for the quick response and the advice. I think I'll stop recording it unless it's a major project. Thanks again!

Hey from Texas, USA, but I've traveled to the UK several times, and I LOVE it!! It's Beautiful!!

It's super hard at first, but if you can make it to level 2 it gets easier and is totally worth it. Not good to start out on though if you haven't worked out in a long time. Build up to it.
