I think you're measuring wrong. You don't need to go to the gym to lose body fat - simply reducing calories consumed will do. Investigate the different ways of measuring body fat and see if you can find a doctor/dietician/trainer in your town who does one of them.

The best exercise is, ultimately, the one that you'll actually do. If you prefer walking, then walk. If you prefer running, then run. Trying to calculate which activity burns more calories per distance and time makes little difference if you're doing something you don't like and can't maintain it in the long run.

Insanity is rough, and you really need to fuel for it. I haven't found a benefit for eating back all of the exercise calories, but I think you need to up it to at least 1500. Are you tracking your measurements (waist, chest, arms, etc.)?

I should add, 30 Day Shred is *killing* my calves, so be prepared - it's not easy at all.

I've heard 30 Day Shred is easier than Ripped in 30, and 30 Day Shred is still kicking my behind. Both are going to be hard because, as Jillian says, she's cramming an hour of gym into 20 minutes at home.

If you're exercising, it's probably both muscle gain/swelling, as well as your body adjusting to the new menu.

Thirding the Shock Absorbers. I did jumping jacks in the dressing room, and my boobs didn't move at all. Running Couch to 5k has been absolutely fantastic with it.
