  • I haven't been doing it that frequently recently so at the moment it's pretty hard but for a period a few years ago I was doing it several times a week and it did, slowly, get easier (although the abs section was still a real challenge)! I was really flexible too which was great and got some good muscle definition from it…
  • Hi Debbie, I really enjoy doing workout DVDs- some of my favourites are Tae Bo and the New York City Ballet Workout, also Blogilates videos on YouTube. There are a lot out there! Feel free to add me as a friend :)
  • Hi! I just added you
  • Problem solved! Just saw my neighbour and she's going to use it to make pancakes. I know the simple thing would've been to drink it but I'm really not a fan, thank you all for your input though!
  • Huge congratulations! You've done so well and are a total inspiration! This is why I love this board :-)
  • Hi I'm from the UK too! I'm also relatively new here, 5"8 and quite a similar weight (90kg)! I'm looking to lose about 20kg and about to start 30 Day Shred alternating with my New York City Ballet workout DVD & a couple of rest days. I've added you as a friend feel free to message me any time and good luck with it all! :-)
  • Hi! I'm from Somerset but went to uni in Exeter! Have added you :)
  • Mine was probably travelling on an adventure tour to New Zealand. Several of the things I did involved wearing a wetsuit (horrific), I had to announce my weight infront of everyone to go horseback riding, i felt like i was going to die doing a 20k trek (not great for a girl in her twenties) then the ultimate last straw was…
  • Hi! Age: 24 Height: 5'8 SW: 210 CW: 200 GW: 155 I'm quite new to this - please feel free to add me!
  • I'm on a low carb diet, avoiding flour, potatoes, sugar and white rice with very small portions of brown rice and oats every now and again and loads of veggies; and I found the easiest way to adapt was by cutting things out slowly e.g sugar for a month, then flour for a month and so on until I was used to it. I didn't have…
  • I'm not sure what specifically this could be but if you're exercising the same muscles every day you could try having a rest day where you just do some light walking to try and loosen the muscles up. Or maybe some kind of massage? Good luck hope you find some answers :-)
  • I used to do the New York City Ballet 2 all the time and I was really flexible. When I started it I was totally new to all things dance related and some of the moves were a bit hard so I just worked up to them gradually. It's very well-paced and relaxing to do, I much prefer it to yoga and am meaning to take it up again…
  • I've discovered that 'you look well' is the ultimate euphemism for 'you've lost weight'! I was also lying on the sofa reading yesterday evening and I realised I couldn't feel my chin resting on my collar bone any more. Oh and all my skirts look a couple of inches longer because they're sitting lower on my waist!
  • Thank you all, that's a relief to hear! It did seem a bit extreme to do it everyday - though lots of people seem to do it that way. I'm going to wait until my shoulder feels better before I go again and just do some walking to keep moving in the meantime then do it every other day. :-)
