  • 400 Done! I'm going to be feeling this one tomorrow!!
  • Okay. I'm game. I'll have to take it up a notch & do 50 at the time, but I think I can make it to 400. We shall see. I'm sore from Push Ups yesterday!
  • I *start* with a 100 oz bottle every day. It's gone by lunch. Yeah. I drink a ton of water. I need it. My body seriously makes me drink it. If I miss even 1/2 glass of what I normally get, my mouth is literally parched! I thought it was a problem but my dr. said I broke the "water barrier" and not to worry. Just drink what…
  • Done, Done, & DONE! 200 Push Ups - All on the toes! Yay! I did break them up into sets of 25 & they were managable. I loved it. I wannna do it again tomorrow. Come up with another 200 something or others for tomorrow!
  • Right, so it doesn't matter if I do it in sets of 25 or so throughout the day? Okay, I'm in. I can do that. =) See you tonight!
  • AZT said it all in his thread. I will add that the only way I was able to get through unbearable shin splints was the ABCs (I traced them in the air everytime I sat down - people thought I was nutzo - well, they sorta still do). And, I ended up having to take some time off from running. Seriously, do the ABC thing. It…
  • Yep, I've had this. It's been after I get going. I just chalk it up to the fact that the blood gets pumping. =) I find that it gets better if I don't scratch it. It doesn't happen often. And, only when it's been a few days since I ran last.
  • I use these too sometimes. They are pretty good. They make a crispy quesadilla (sp?) too! Enjoy
  • Well, when it happened to me about a month back, it was $649 & an IPad was sent to somebody. They never caught the somebody, but I did contact PayPal. I also contacted my bank. PayPal took over 10 days to even email me about the dispute. That means my checking account was in the red & racking up charges, so I had to call…
  • Yes, this (!) is so true! This is what my blogs have all been about! Thanks for re-posting this. And, thanks to the original writer.
  • Mmmm, this sounds delicious!
  • Couch to 5K (C25K) is an excellent place to start. I have arthritis & I run every other day with long runs being about 5 miles right now. I also have fibromyalgia which aggrevates the arthritis (or vice versa). Point is: If I run, I feel better! It's hard to get going sometimes, but once I start, I'm glad I did. Google…
  • Pavement or Trails - much better than the TM, but I'll take the TM if I have no other choice. I did do C25K - never finished it as I got severe shin splints & had to stop running for a while. Been back to running since July though (woohoo!). Give yourself some time & you will get the distance. Don't try to increase pace &…
  • Well, I don't know about taste but they sure look delicious to me! I'm definitely going to try them out this weekend. Yummmm!
  • If I don't have the workouts written on the calendar a month at the time, I flounder around. I've found I quite enjoy planning my workout schedule. Also, I look through my "diet" cookbooks each week & come up with a couple of things to cook that can span a few days. That gives me grab-n-go lunches & dinners. I cook…
  • HA! This, this is exactly what I've been dealing with. And, while I know that walk breaks don't mean I'm not a runner, (dang it!) I don't *want* to walk. But, my body sure does. LOL So, I'm just basically bumping this to remember so I can use everyone's advice.
  • I wash mine & throw it in the oven until the candy runs! They are delish!! (I am impatient, so I cook mine on 500*) You'll know they are done when you smell something that smells a little burnt (it's the "candy" that's runnning out & cooking on the pan - don't forget to spray your pan with Pam or you'll never get…
  • Now, you have a jersey to sleep in! Great job on your weight loss. You look amazing!
  • Will continue to keep her & her family in my thoughts & prayers, Los. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend to all.
  • Clearly, I don't know what's been going on but I'll just say negative people are miserable people. I've had my fair share of negativity & I'm having none of it. That's why I try to surround myself with positives. That's why you are my friend & that's why we will continue to be friends. I might not post & reply a lot to…
  • Such words of wisdom. I am impressed (although not suprised as I know you). It is unfortunate that some people allow the quest to be skinny overtake their better judgement. Even the strong sometimes find themselves with an ED when so much of the day is spent on what to eat, when to eat & how to eat it - in order to get the…
  • great job!! You rock!
  • I think you are doing a great job & look at you 1/2 way to goal!! I think you look fantastic! Keep up the great work. And, never compare yourself to anyone else - only to yourself. Chin up, Sweetie!
  • OMG! My ad at the top was "FREE KNITTING PATTERNS". I am not lying - although I am rolling! You are too funny, cowboy.
  • Right back atcha, Cowboy! Hope you have a fantastic day! Smooches to you & the kiddos!
  • Good advice Becca. I hope you don't mind if I share with a co-worker that is just starting out. To the OP: age sometimes is an issue as metabolism slows, but you can do things to speed it up. Building muscle is the one of those things. Just because you are 40 doesn't mean you have to live with it. Good on you for doing…
  • Looks divine. Tried to post that to your comments, but it wouldn't let me sign in (uh, that'd be b/c I can't remember my own password - duh) P.S. Looks like Patty lost ALOT of weight. Good job!
