http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/GettingHealthy/PhysicalActivity/FitnessBasics/Target-Heart-Rates_UCM_434341_Article.jsp This says "slow down" not stop. Also, your max heart rate should be 175 - 220- 45 (age) AHA says you should build up to 85% of max - that is your "target" zone. When in doubt seek medical advice

Howdy - I'm on pretty much daily, log and comment. I just filtered out some friends who were inactive and could use a couple of new homies. :drinker:

Hi there! Welcome. Good luck. You can do it!

What do you mean "not allowed for females"? Is that why people always gawk and make mean faces at me?! :blushing: Honestly I don't know a woman out there that would like the feeling of running with no support for the girls! EEK On a side note - unless there are laws against it in your community - do what makes you…

I am loving my Body Media arm band - it doesn't go on the wrist so might not be what you're looking for but it is the most accurate on the market - according to all the studies and junk (jawbone bought them out recently)

10K steps a day is not sedentary. :drinker:

HRM are really good for workout intensity and such. I am currently using the BodyMedia arm band for daily tracking - it's amazing to see how lazy my job makes me some days!! Garmin monitors work with the BM device for workouts.

Rafting and fireworks - only one day off.

^ hahahahahaa  Are you eating back your workout calories? How do you get the numbers from your workout calorie burn? MFP over estimates - in my experience. If you are set at 1200 are you hitting that every day? Did you choose the correct lifestyle setting when setting up your goals. Very few people are actually…

I've been thinking about a reward... I don't have one. :ohwell: Love the idea of having a reward for reaching my goal but I just can't think of anything that would be motivating... Motivation right now is... Not looking like a heffer on the cruise I'm going on in December. :drinker:

Try the pasta that has the veggies baked in - I don't remember the brand but the box says it has X servings of veggies in each serving... I want to say I've seen low carb pasta too. Try looking up healthy meal planning on google - I've done that before and got great results. Eating Well is a site that I use a lot when I'm…

The other two posters are correct - calorie deficit = weight loss and JM DVDs usually show loss of inches I love her DVDs I have a TON! Just remember when you are working out at home... you get out what you put in - it's easier to cheat yourself when no one is around - if you are truly dedicated you'll be fine and you will…

I LOVE to cruise! You're going to have a good time (or like some be sea sick the whole time - I hope not) You're going to eat.... a LOT (or at least be tempted) They have a HUGE selection so chose the healthy options - but don't be afraid to splurge - it's vacation - enjoy it! You're also going to walk... a LOT (the ships…

remember some more! Chips on sandwiches and burgers (fries work too) Sour cream, cream cheese, and chives rolled in a tortilla (add meat at times) sour cream in my chili with a peanut butter sandwich for dipping cream cheese in my chicken noodle soup bbq chips (grippos!) dipped in French onion dip ranch and Italian…

When you eat doesn't matter as much as the calorie deficit - you will lose weight when you eat less than you burn - if you're hungry/tired in your work out eat some protein before

cut the oil and half the blueberries (you could prob drop the honey too but that's up to you - you have enough sugars coming from the fruit that it should still be sweet with out it) I would add your oil (I also love coconut oil) to a different meal - and not near as much - I have literally used 2 drops to cook an egg…
