Thank you. I tend to lose quickly when focusing and doing the right things but I also gain it quickly too. I lost 20 lbs so there would be less stress on my new hip. Honestly, I have been overdoing it. My kids bring me wonderful, horrible high calorie foods. Time to knock that off! Thank you

Thank you for the encouragement. It was such a shock to see that number on the scale! The doctor has me on 5 medicines that make me sick if not taken with quite a bit of food. And I stopped weighing and logging. I will at least start doing that again.

You are doing great! I believe your calories are perfect for you....a nice even loss each week. And I assume you feel energetic and not hungry enough to chew off your arm. Lol. And yes, I have dropped an extra lb or 2 after upping my calories for a day nOw aND then.. Scientific? Dunno... :)

Werthers sugar free butterscotch candies. 5 for 40 calories. I can make these last for about an hour when I'm watching TV. They have chocolate flavor also. Yum!

I experimented with eating back 50 % of my exercise calories for 2 weeks. I stopped losing and maintained. Each person needs to figure it out for themselves but I suggest adding back very slowly. 50 calories not 50% per week.

Is it true hunger or craving food? If you go to the kitchen and nothing healthy looks good to you then it's more than likely not hunger. I started eating back some of my exercise calories 2 weeks ago.I wanted to see what loss I would have eating more. Well found out...I haven't lost a pound in 2 weeks but maintained. Part of me is upset for wasting 2 weeks but at least now I know what I have to do. May I suggest starting slowly....add 50 calories per day…

I believe the statement " losing fat " can be misleading. We will always have the same number of fat cells in our bodies unless you have them sucked out or frozen. Knowing that I have all these cells just waiting to fill back up makes me much more conscious of how easily it would be to regain. This is lifelong for me.

Calories are calories....for weight loss. To me eating 200 calories of nutritionless "food" can be the same as eating less then 1100-1200 calories per day.

Exactly how I gain also....makes it easier to let more and more weight creep on. But eventually there is no way to hide it. OP...I understand your question and regardless of where the gain is- it is there. Keep steady on your plan.

I get a report emailed from Fitbit every Sunday for the previous week. Keeping my food diary as honest as possible is major in getting an accurate weekly summary. The reports are awesome!
