Thanks everyone! Yes. I really need to get moving! :)

Thank you for the informational threads!

That is probably true. It is free. I have in on my homescreen. It lists tons of exercises and I like that it factors in your weight as well as exertion and time. Perhaps you could choose to unsubscribe once you have the numbers you are looking for. 😊

It's all free.

I'd also like to add that my Charge Fitbit accurately counts each motion as a step if you use the hand bars.

Hi. Check out Fatburn.com. It has the Gazelle calories listed there. All the activities are calculated by entering your weight also. I have found it to be very accurate. I love my Gazelle.

All of your feedback has been so helpful and I thank you. I believe alot of "weigh everything" advice is geared toward those who are not losing steadily or are very close to goal. I've always been a rule follower. :)

I got tired of picking on my Charge 3 so I wore it every day for many weeks. After subtracting my carefully measured daily intake from my daily Fitbit TDEE my total weight loss for those weeks was off by a half pound. I now wear it with confidence. I also make sure I wear it 2 finger widths above my wrist and it is snug.

Try a Gazelle. I know alot of people will scoff at this machine but you can get a great cardio workout without any impact. I've had 2 hips and a knee replacement and I credit this gazelle for much of my recovery. You can grab one on craigslist cheaply to give it a try.

Thank you all. I'm losing fine right now. When the time comes I will do as you have suggested. Yes..its JIF on the go. 250 calories in a very little tub. I hate measuring peanut butter. :)

You can't trust the calories on mfp, you can't trust the exercise calories on mfp. You can't trust bar codes! Lol .I'm going back to bed. PS. please ignore my negativity. Just one of those days I guess. I really do love MFP.

Being "easy for you" is the goal of IF for some folks. It may not be as easy once you start weighing all your foods and eating at your real deficit. IF works great for me as it is the best way for me to do CICO without any hunger. To be honest, I wish they never started calling it IF. Play around with your eating window…

I wasn't joking! I did not know how to do that! Thank you so much. You made my day. 😊

I love my scale, it's the math I dislike. Lol I wish there was an app where you type 214 grams of green apple and it spits out the number of calories. I guess I could just toss the 14 gms. :)

Thank you! Sorry for the misinformation. I love bananas.

I have worn my charge 3 every day for 6 weeks. 24/7. I keep a daily log of the Charge TDEE minus calories eaten. My weight loss over a 6 week period was off by .6 pounds. I was amazed how close it has calculated. Somedays I am very lazy and others I am pretty active so as far as daily NEAT goes it's a very helpful tool for…

I bought a little travel scale that I carry in my purse. It works great but I feel a bit funny using it in restaurants sometimes. 😊

I'm never sure if you are to weigh the prepackaged foods before or after cooking. Some foods are listed "as prepared" but most are not. Bananas were a big eye opener for me: 1gm=1 calorie. Sometimes I was eating 90 cals, sometimes 140.

Rotisserie chicken sounds so good! May I ask how many calories per serving?
-
I like the way this is written. Got a kick out of the highlighted "calorie deficit ".
-
I hope I do as well as you. I bet it was a great moment when you finally had control over your body once again! I am very happy for you. Thank you for the encouraging advice. 😊

Thank you so much. I really appreciate the exercise link and the physical therapy ideas. When the surgeon told me I have "substantial " muscle loss in my arm and hand, I think I realized how quickly that can happen. And how awful that feels. It will take up to a year to fully heal after the surgery. Again, thank you to all!
-
Thank goodness for peanut butter :) :)
-
Thank you. I think the arm issue prompted me to look into future muscle loss in all parts of my body. And to do my best to monitor that loss more acurately. I see folks posting their percentages occasionally and I was trying to figure out how they do that. Calories and protein in proper amounts seem to be my best bet.

Thank you for the reassurance. I have changed my goals based upon the many terrific posts here on mfp. I have just been told I have ulnar nerve compression serious enough to require surgery. My arm and hand have pronounced muscle loss. My first thought was how much more muscle am I going to lose without being able to lift…

Milk Duds. 130 calories in 10. And you can make them last a long time.

Hi! I have had two hips and a knee replaced as a result of 22 years of refinery work. I wear my Fitbit every day as I believe it gives me a very accurate TDEE for each day. I too can't tolerate impact walking. However my Gazelle counts my steps very accurately with no impact at all. Love it! Congratulations to all of you…
