This is in no way weight loss related, but it was a huge victory for me so I’m sharing it: Today I paid off one of my two student loans in its entirety. I had money in savings and was paying out over $200 a month on this one loan, with the interest just building up like crazy, and then I just realized it would be smarter…

No no, it's all thanks to YOU! ... with an assist from MFP. :) Great job!

Today has been an incredibly stressful and frustrating one at work, and when I was deciding what to grab for lunch I half said to myself “you deserve a splurge after all this b*llsh*t!”… but then I stopped and thought about it and realized I would just be eating my feelings. I just finished my delicious (and healthy) lunch…

Drklib, I feel like we are in very similar places. I was running this whole summer (finished the c25k in June, then kept going), but in October I pulled a muscle and everything screeched to a halt. Just got back on the treadmill last week for the first time without pain (well, none that shouldn't have been there. haha).…

A weird thing that changed for me is I had to change how I interacted with men. I had always been bigger, and I was also always pretty flirty. It never really seemed to matter who I flirted with, because no one ever took me seriously. I was always just the funny fat girl. Once I lost weight however, I definitely fumbled…

Thanks cblue315! I was so pumped to put it on and have it actually fit. I had taken my measurements, and it should have fit, but when it came out of the package I said “no way!” haha Now I just have to find somewhere to wear it! haha

This vintage etsy buy came in the mail today, and IT FITS!!

Agreed. This is the thread I come back to day after day, especially now that I've entered maintenance. It just makes me smile. :)

I run a café, and we just got our first delivery of eggnog in today. Eggnog is one of my most favorite things and I had to pour a cup (complete with fresh nutmeg ground on top) for an instagram shot for the company account. The NSV is that when I was done with the mini photo shoot, I didn’t drink it. I passed it off to one…

Hi Lisa, Welcome back. That’s one great thing about MFP, it’s always here ready to be picked up again when you get your *kitten* in gear again. Hah. I don’t really have any tricks for you to stay motivated. I’m actually struggling with the same thing, but I’m in a slightly different place. In September I reached my goal…

Just the other day I did was taking my measurements and was looking back at some of my old ones, and I realized I’ve lost almost a foot (11.5” to be exact) from around my waist! From 37” to 25.5”. That’s almost a third of the circumference gone! It feels really really good to be able to say that. :)

I needed to read this today. Normally I'd read this and think, "gee, glad I'm not in that guy's position" but I think I might be. I've been very focused this summer and as a result, have been really successful. I've reached my goal weight and am feeling pretty awesome about myself. My boyfriend also went into the summer…

I'm 5'3.5" SW ~184lbs CW 121lbs I posted above a few days ago but finally got my act together to post some pics. :) If I can do it, you can too!

You seem to have figured out how to get it back though. Please, share your great wisdom! :p

I'm 5'3.5" and have lost roughly 63lbs. My top weight was about 184lbs four years ago. I took 55lbs off in about 7-8 months, maintained for a while, put 10-15lbs back on, and this spring buckled down again and have lost 22 lbs since the end of May. Feel free to check out my profile picture. I'm 29 y/o and about 121lbs now.

Hi! I’m 5’3.5” and my top weight was somewhere around 184lbs. Currently I’m weighing in around 121lbs. After being overweight since my early teens, I lost most of my weight about four years ago (roughly 55lbs), maintained for a while, then put 10-15lbs back on over the course of a year. Using MFP I’ve taken that back off…

This dress fits. :)

A month or so ago I scored some amazing American Eagle jeans at a thrift store. Skinny jeans in "super stretchy" so they're wicked comfy... and in a size 4! My biggest size was about a 12-14, so that's a good feeling. Anyway, I was counting on these being around for a while, especially cause I'm pretty near my goal weight,…

Today is a little chilly where I live, so I’m rocking that skinny jeans in boots combo. Like many ladies, I’ve never been one of those lucky ones blessed with slim calves. Mine have always been rather bulky (kind people say muscular, but for me, it was usually just bulk. Haha), and at my top weight boots weren’t even an…

The first picture is me about four years ago. I lost about 55lbs in 7-8 months. Maintained for a few years and then this past winter put 15lbs or so back on. I'm down roughly 20lbs since May and feeling better than ever. :) Stats: SW: ~184lbs CW: 122.5lbs Height: 5'3.5" Edit: only took me like 22 edits, but I finally got…

I wish there was a like button too. So many of these are so cool and heartwarming (not to mention impressive)! I also have noticed that my back is feeling pretty lean these days. I think I’m even starting to feel those muscles that run down the side of your backbone in the back? I’m not sure what they’re called (google…

This might be slightly TMI, but I recently went by Victoria's Secret and I was able to fit into a 32C! A few styles had to be a 32D, but I'm psyched. Last spring I fit into 34D, so it's been a successful summer. At my biggest, I think I was a 38DD or a 40D. :) Now if only I could afford to have the girls put back up where…

Big vintage fan and I LOVE that dress! I have a nice little vintage collection that wasn't fitting me this winter which helped motivated me to get back on the wagon. This winter definitely wasn't too kind on my waistline. Hah. Luckily I've bounced right back and some of it is even fitting a little looser than I'd like.…

Last night I did 20 pushups in a row! And not lady pushups, full on up-on-the-toes pushups! That beats my personal best by eight! In all last night, I did more than 60, but slowly worked my way up to doing 20 in a row. Those last 20 weren’t all perfect form, but I’m pretty excited about it. Watching American Ninja Warrior…

I've been a little disheartened recently after discovering my home scale is off and I actually weigh four pounds more than I thought. I know it's just a number, but it sucks a little bit to feel like you've been set back after thinking you've reached your goal. To buck myself up tonight I dug out my measurements from four…

I can’t stop touching my waist because it seem like maybe – just maybe - all those sit-ups might have actually started to pay off and there might actually be some – dare I say it – definition?! It's minor, but I think it might be there! Still have that extra layer on my lower stomach, but my waist area feels somehow…

Wow! Well done. I finished the C25k app at the end of May and have been mostly working on my speed since then, but you’ve made me want to try a 10k! Usually by the end of a 5k I am so beat that I can’t imagine continuing on, especially when I’m pushing for a fast speed. Very inspiring!
