The best part... Not limited to shopping in the plus size section! And being able to run... period! 252lbs vs 179lbs Congrats to all the beautiful people with their awesome progress!! :)

Thank you all so much!!! :flowerforyou:

Wow! Thanks for all your kind words!!! Good luck to all those who are just starting their journey! I know this sounds cliche, but... If I can do it, you can, too!!! :drinker:

Best. Feeling. Ever. Congrats!! :)

"Those of us on Metformin are taking it because we have to. Without it, we would gain more weight and very likely end up diabetic." First of all, congrats on your progress! You should be proud! Second... If your insulin-resistance is enough that it "requires" Metformin, then you, my friend are not pre-diabetic... you ARE a…

I've lost 70lbs in the past year with PCOS... without medication! I've gone from a size 22/24 to a size 12/14. Starting at 252lbs and down to 182lbs. PCOS is NOT an excuse! I average around 1600 cals/day and exercise 2-3 times per week. My carbs are set at 40% on MFP... protein 30% and fat 30%. I'll be doing before and…

Glad I found this post... I always plan 5ks that I never run b/c my friends bail. This year, that's not gonna happen! Doing it for me! Y'all have given me reassurance! Thanks!

I started with Kelly Coffey-Meyers Weights and loved it! Then I bought Kelly Coffey-Meyers LIFT and Muscle Definition! Check it out! I love her workouts and look forward to them! The difference in my body since starting strength training is pretty amazing! Don't forget to take measurements and pics before you start! Good…

My one piece of advice would be to... log into MFP every single day! Even if your having a bad day, bad week, or bad month log it! Eventually, your motivation will pick up again. Nobody's perfect. Just keep logging!

Hey everybody! I'm Linda, and I've been on MFP for almost a full year now... logging everyday... the good, the bad, and the ugly! I'm also an ER nurse! Feel free to add me as a friend, too! :)

Recently took my own measurements and found out that I'm a pear. I was like you in thinking that nothing I do is gonna get rid of these hips. Then, my husband gave me a slap on the behind and reminded me that a pear is better than the shape I used to be... a potato! Haha! Love him!

^^This^^ I've tried the others, and I just like Runkeeper better. I have a HRM, so I don't need an app that syncs to MFP. A HRM is much more accurate for calorie burn.

Great suggestions from everyone! I just wanted to add... I started running in the summer and loved it! I used my inhaler before and after runs and was getting along just fine, until... the weather turned cold. Then, I ended up in the ER twice. I didn't do any form of exercise for fear of another attack for approximately 8…

I couldn't agree more!!! I wanted to start a strength training program and ran across her 30 Minutes to Fitness: Weights. I love, love, LOVE it! I look forward to working out! JM can kiss my behind. Her way sucks! I did 30DS and finished, but I just had to make myself do it. Don't get me wrong, I lost weight, but it wasn't…
