My fitbit hasn't been syncing properly for days. I took around 12,000 steps yesterday and MFP is still reading "0".

Weight can fluctuate daily due to a number of things. Biological women especially experience more changes during the month that might affect weight. It makes sense that some people wouldn't want to weigh themselves daily when these little changes occur. It can start to really bum people out. I know that I personally feel…

Thanks, everyone!! :)

That's a ton of weight in 10 days! Nice job! The same thing happened to me when my boyfriend moved in (gained around 14 lbs). I'm starting to shed the weight again but am only down 6 lbs from that time. The numbers can be absolutely devastating if they don't do what you like (especially if you feel like you've worked…

Thanks for the tips! Night snacking is truly my downfall. I can easily eat 1200 calories all day and feel completely satisfied and then from 8pm-10pm consume half of that!

I'm sorry that you've been trying to lose weight since you were 10. That is so young, and it's sad that so many outside pressures can get to us at that age. Overeating (especially at night) has always been a huge issue for me. I try to drink more water at night to curve cravings. It works sometimes! Feel free to add me as…

Thanks for all the great responses. Lots of great info. I've changed my workouts a bit, stopped using my HRM to measure calories during weight training, and began to eat a little more. I've lost around 3 pounds in the past 2 weeks. Sorry for the spaz attack a few weeks ago!! You've all been very helpful.

you're right. thank you. i'm going to try and approach this journey with a little more positivity.

great advice. i'll look more at ~what~ food i'm eating. i might be skimping on the protein and eating too much fat.

you've been lovely and helpful. thank you very much. i was referring to the other poster.

Okay. Seriously. This thread is over. Just stop.

ok. i'm a dumbass. please stop replying so i can bury my head in the sand now.

Okay. My bad. I didn't say I was a calorie burning goddess. All I'm saying is that I weigh 200 lbs and workout for 3-4 hours a day. I SHOULD be losing weight based on my diet combined with that. And I'm not. I'm gonna see a doctor. Seriously, don't be rude. This is supposed to be a supportive community. I GUESS I'VE BEEN…

Okay. Just stop replying on here. It's all my fault. Great. See y'all.

I have lost an inch an a half from my waist and an inch from my hips though.

I'm not just walking 2-3 hours. I'm doing that in addition to being at the gym for an hour or 2. In an average day I'm up and moving around 4 hours. But like everyone seems to be saying, I guess I'm eating too much. I already feel like I'm starving and light-headed all day so Idk how eating even less is supposed to make me…

I've been trying not to use the MFP numbers and focusing mostly on my HRM numbers. But maybe it is overestimating as well like people on here are saying. That's a shame too, cause it was expensive haha (Polar FT-60). I just want accuracy.

I'm 5'7 and weigh 203 lbs. I'm considered obese by my doctor. I dunno if that means I'd burn more or not.
-
Okay. Fine. Thanks for advice.

I've been losing weight on and off for years. I've lost as many as 60 lbs in a half a year. I know HOW to lose weight. I'm just wondering if perhaps there are other people like me who KNOW they are doing things right, but the weight isn't coming off. Like...perhaps if someone has high anxiety levels which lead to higher…

Oh and my net calories range from -310 to around 500.

I have a Polar heart rate monitor that keeps track of exactly how many calories I'm burning, so I'm not leaving anything to estimation. I work out anywhere from 2-3 hours per day. Trust me, I wouldn't be asking if I didn't understand how calories work. I'm very frustrated. Perhaps I am allergic/sensitive to something like…

I've been struggling with this for my entire life. It's probably my biggest downfall. Yesterday I did two workouts, ate healthy, felt great. Then last night I decided to munch on two hot dogs. Ugh...I feel pretty terrible. But it happened. I can only improve from here. My cutoff will be 8pm. No exceptions.
