Walking and weights are a great way to get started. I also did yoga and since I started with 130lbs to lose, it wasn't pretty! I'm down 110lbs and now running, circuit training, and weights are my exercise regime. Set realistic goals, be accountable to yourself (or if you need the external support, others, including here),…

I started out at 110kgs just under 9 months ago and now weight 73kgs. My goal was 65kgs, but that doesn't seem to be attainable (I'm not losing weight over all, but I am losing a ton of body fat). And I'm ok with this. There is hope! Walking is a great form of exercise to start getting you in shape (muscles, heart, lungs)…

Breath. Keep working. Don't lose heart. This doesn't happen over night. Focus on all you are doing to make your life better (eating, exercise, attitude) and don't let yourself be owned by the number on the scale. ETA: Sounds like a simplistic response, but with 110lbs gone, I know it works (for me anyway!) Good luck!

I was using walking, yoga (at home), and weight lifting as my main forms of exercise and lost 100lbs doing it. However, I recently started running and circuits, and though I've only lost 2lbs in the past 2 months, I've lost 14lbs of body fat, so it looks like I've lost a lot of weight. If you can't afford the gym, look for…

Doing great!

110lbs down, 20 to go. Though I think I may only aim for 10 more. More focused on getting my BF% than getting to the "right" scale weight.

I weigh 160 pounds, according to BMI, I am way into the overweight range (nearly obese!!), but my BF% is 30%, which is between "good" and "average". According to BMI, the highest "healthy" weight for me is 130. My goal, however, is 140 with a BF% of 26. BMI does not take muscle mass into consideration. You can see from my…

RAWR :flowerforyou: All your hard work paid off!

Does it really matter what you call it, as long as you're doing it?

Great work! Keep it up :)

Down 110lbs, GW is 140. I'm solidly built and muscular, so even though BMI says this is overweight, it will be a good weight for me. CW is 160 and these last 20lbs don't want to come off, but even though I've only lost 2lbs in 6 weeks, I've lost 14lbs of body fat :)

Why can't you eat any more? If, for whatever reason, you can't eat more in quantity, you can eat more calorie/nutrient dense foods like nuts, beans, guacamole.

I'm 40 and my RHR is 52- well within the athletic range :)
-
That's fantastic! Good for you! My accomplishment: Last night I ran 5miles (without stopping) in 52minutes. 10 weeks ago I couldn't run the distance between 3 lamp posts without having a coronary. It's nice to see someone post a fitness achievement rather than just a weight loss one. IMHO, this is about being fit and…

Prunes. Water. Oh, and as a new runner, I've discovered that running shakes things down.

Doing great! Keep it up girl :)

Oh- CHEATING!?! I couldn't for the life of me understand what chesting was. Pedometers are great for tracking and increasing your exercise!
-
My weight has remained 162 for the past 6 weeks but I've lost 10lbs of body fat and one dress size. Just because the scale doesn't move, doesn't mean things aren't happening!

Don't lose hope if you can't do everything! Keep it up, you'll get there. LOVE yoga, so relaxing :) Na maste :)

Looking good!
