Sorry- should have been a 2 not a 3. 2000 according to HRM. (Could be the same burn if you run fast or slow. If you run 18 quickly, you may burn 2000 because of exertion level, but if you are slow, you still might burn 2000 because of duration) Thanks for the responses. I do try to eat extra to build up and store, but it's…

Totally worth it.

I eat cheese almost everyday as well. I usually have a lighter version, but now near my goal weight occasionally have high octane. As someone said, a little can go a long way and if you incorporate it into your plan, there's no reason you have to totally deny yourself the foods you love. (I also eat a square of chocolate…

<---- BMI says I am overweight, halfway to obese. 5'3 and 150lbs, size 4/6US or 8/10UK. My goal weight is 140, which is still overweight according to BMI. To be within the "healthy" BMI range I'd have to loss a lot of muscle. No thanks! :)

If you crave chocolate, will eating something else do? If I craved chocolate and had a piec of carob instead, I would not be happy and probably end up eating something else in addition to that to satisfy.

Depression is an illness. It needs to be treated like any other illness. It may mean that it requires medication. Feeling low may be a result of things not being how you want them to be, but that is different than clinical depression. Telling a depressed person to "think happy thoughts" or just "get out of bed" is as…

Congratulations! What a beautiful transformation :)

Shock. Absorber. (Be sure to get the running one, not the regular exercise one. Holds those babies in there!)

In the past month I've increased my running to 30+ miles a week, including 1 long run of at least 16 miles. I've gained 5 pounds. BUT my clothes are getting looser every day. I may have gained a few pounds, but my body overall is smaller and more toned. I eat more now than I did before, but then I eat to train, not eat to…

118 lost. 12 to go.

Fantastic :)

Me too! One square and I'm satisfied. Milk I could eat the whole bar and not enjoy a bite (so I don't eat it!)

I'm a wee bit taller, 5'3 and my goal weight is 140. I'm currently 152. The top end of my "healthy" range is 130, but I'm not willing to sacrifice muscle to get there. My BMI is in the overweight range, halfway between healthy and obese, again to get in the "healthy" range I would sacrifice muscle. I wear a size 4/6 US…

<--my BMI says I am not just overweight but halfway to obese. Even when I hit my goal weight of 140lbs, I will still be in the overweight category. I'm not worried about it. It's a lot of muscle (and saggy skin!). (My BF% is 28 and I'm aiming for 24%)

Fantastic! Keep it up :)

My cup used to runneth over. 118lbs later my cup definitely runneth under.

I'm torn. In one way I don't want anyone who never knew me as a fattie to know I was a fattie. On the other hand, there is so much shame around being fat and I don't want to carry that shame- so I have recently posted my before and after pic on Facebook and a running forum as a way of me trying to not see my former self as…

<-- Have a ways to go to look like the pic, the biggest hinderance will be flappy skin. But it's doable! I weigh 152lbs, but am a size 4/6US (8/10UK). BF% is 29 (aiming for 24) Yep. Doable.

Love oatmeal too and it's a great pre-run fuel. This morning I had oatmeal with 1/2 banana, chia seeds, almonds, and 1/4 scoop protein powder. Also great with berries of any sort and apples. Stick to your ribs, keep ya going food!

I put 1/4 scoop chocolate protein powder, 1tsp choccie chips, 1tsp almonds, and sometimes 1tsp of chia seeds and/or half a banana into 200g. Adds chocolate flavour and crunchy texture. Berries of any sort are also yummy (I always add almonds too) I find keeps me full most of the morning. This morning I added 200g to my…

I eat 1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter most days. Often as "fuel" before I run. I always get the natural/no sugar added variety. If you want to eat it, fit it into your menu- it's doable. <-- Works for me!

Wahooooooooo! COngrats on all that hard work :)

I ran 12.3 nonstop miles today. The farthest I've run since a miracle 10 miler 6 weeks ago. It took 2h14m. 6 months ago I was near death after running 2m14s RAWWWR

Not just stretches, get yourself a foam roller! It will make you cry at first, then it will be your best friend!

^^^ This this this! I eat well, I exercise 10-12 hours a week (including training for a marathon), I have literally worked my @$$ off. My entire lifestyle has changed, I'm fit, toned, and healthy and I worked for every bit of that. Come here and see my muscles close up and tell me how I took the easy way out. If it's not…

Give yourself a break. It may take a bit to get back into the swing of things. The important thing is to keep trying! Good luck :)

Woohoo! Congrats :)

I'm 5'3 and 152lbs. Although that sounds like a lot of weight, I wear a size 4-6. My goal weight is 140, but I'm not too worried about those last 12 pounds (Do I really need to be a size 2? I think not!) I've lost 118lbs so far, only 12 since Christmas, but 2 sizes since Christmas. I do yoga a few times a week and run…

Amazing transformation! Congrats :)
