1 week in & I am loving Focus T25! I am sore! I can not reach the level of calorie burning that I got with Insanity doing these Alpha workouts, but I can see how we may get there in Beta and beyond. I have the Gamma DVDs as well. Already have the dumbbells from ChaLEAN Extreme. I can not wait until more people are doing…

I'm drinking some now. 2 cups a day may help keep the grim reaper away or not

Best thread ever!

I'm no expert either but I read somewhere to mix 1 T with 8 oz water, stir, wait 5 min, stir again & drink. I mix in a teaspoon of Spirulina sometimes too. I consider this a between meal snack.

about 1800 sounds reasonable for the lifestyle and stats you have described here. Bear in mind, now, when you target 1800/day, you will no longer log or eat back exercise calories. They are already a part of your 1800. I'd advise keeping things simple for now, get through finals (right there with you), then put more of…

I was stuck at about a 50 lb loss for months. I broke it when I started on the TDEE-20 (IPOARM) method and did INSANITY. I've dropped another 27 lbs since, but it didn't start coming off right away. It took a few weeks to adapt. Good luck to all of you

If you were eating back your exercise calories, as you should, you would be eating close to 2336 every day. The big difference is setting your goal at 2336 then not logging exercise calories. But you should try to consistently eat close to that goal, whichever way you go about getting there. Huge deficits will not really…

Starting from 310 lbs, you can go with TDEE - 30% Just eat above BMR, at least, and work out as hard as you can I was in the same boat about a year ago I ate too little for too long and plateaued for a long time.

^^this It helped me to realize smoking was working against me in every way. I really got mad at tobacco. I hate it. It is evil. These things drive me to workout harder. ETA I quit about a year ago and rarely even think about it anymore

Keep pushing play! You can do it! I lost 20 lbs in my first round of Insanity. Mostly during month 2. It is critical to eat enough to fuel your body during this program. Follow the guide. Stick with it and earn that Tshirt! Dig deeper!

I just calculated all that and got a TDEE-20% value within 50 cal of my current goal :) I used the exrx.net TDEE calculator, IIFYM and Scoobys and averaged them. ETA: I completely agree that trial and error is the best method to find what works best for YOU. It took me months to come up with my current calorie goal.…

I'm currently doing ChaLEAN Extreme and the fat is still falling off. I mix in some Insanity, too. The nearest gym to me costs $60/month. So do the DVDs. The difference with the DVDs is that I can work out in the privacy of my home when I want. I think it is worth it. I like the workouts. They are fun to do. They…

Do your best with it and you will get good results. I broke a long plateau in month 1 and finished with with a 20 lb loss. You can do it. :)

I've been a huge fan of Rush since the 70s. I also enjoy: Maiden, Queensryche, Porcupine Tree, Twisted Sister, Ozzy, old school Metallica, Opeth, Dio and I've been recently re-acquainting myself with the old school Black Sabbath.

I'd say moderate. If you re not seeing the results you are looking for after a month or so, adjust accordingly.

I think the most interesting part is that, while some inaccuracy should be expected, the direction of the inaccuracy is what is shocking. You would expect providers to cut out as much as possible to save money not lie and say their product has less than it actually has. I would expect most fast food to be similar to the…

+1 for Optimum Nutrition whey. I've tried 4 flavors so far and they are all good.

I lost 5 lbs in month 1 and 15 in month 2. Follow the nutrition guide! It helps

Why doesn't this surprise me?

I think IPOARM is great. When I switched I was stuck on a plateau for a long time, losing my ability to focus and concentrate due to increasing deficits, but not losing any weight. I started a heavy lifting program at the same time. I gained a couple of pounds at first, but then the fat started dropping off and life got…

Insanity: No equipment required, Much more cardio, some body weight strength training. P90X: Requires weights or bands, More strength training, less cardio. Those are the facts. My opinion is that Insanity is better to start with to get some weight off. Then alternate or hybridize the programs after completing one. I also…

I would recommend following the nutrition guide that came with your Insanity program while you are doing the workouts, rather than following MFP guidelines. Fueling your body properly will improve your results.

I've used Fitbit and Polar FT7 Polar FT7 is MUCH better! Everything Fitbit does is easily accounted for by setting your activity level correctly.

So many heads stuck in the sand. Sad Hello people. The food industry produces its own "science" to "debunk" proven links between their products and diseases. Go on thinking dairy, red meat and processed crap are perfectly good for human consumption if it makes you happy. Ignorance is bliss

The *kitten* we call food is too often processed chemical experiments designed to trigger the places in the brain to like them and demand more of them in the name of making more MONEY for a few giant corporations. These industrial farms and feed lots are killing us and destroying the environment at the same time. For…
