Homemade is best but there are plenty of store-bought ones that keep carbs low if that's your thing. Rao's marinara has 4g carbs (3g sugar) per 1/2cup. It's not bad for store-bought.

If you want to eat "clean" then the first thing you need to do is decide what clean means to you. Because it's something different to almost everyone and talking about it usually starts an argument. If you want to try it and see what happens, I say go for it - maybe you'll like it, and maybe you'll find that it's not for…

To be fair, when we start spending a bunch of time in outer space and on other planets, it really will be important to understand the difference between mass and weight, or else there are going to be a million threads on here about people not being able to figure out why they weigh 50000 lbs on Jupiter when they are…

After all of this.... Please start weighing all of your food using a food scale. Only use measuring cups/spoons for liquids. If you are not doing this, you are not tracking accurately.

If you like what you're doing, keep doing it. Keep running. Evaluate how you feel going foward. One "off" workout is no reason to change anything.

Because you're eating at a slight deficit. Eat to your goals. If you want to lose weight faster, eat less. Continue working out no matter what you eat. There is a lot of middle ground between 2500 and 1800. Pick a reasonable target, track your intake, give it some time, and see how it goes.

In 7.5 weeks, you have lost 6 lbs. Sounds good to me. You're doing fine. Keep doing fine.

If you are hypothyroid, and it's not controlled, get it controlled. If you don't know if you are hypothyroid, find out. If your OB won't do this, get a different doctor. If you are certain your tracking is accurate and you are maintaining or gaining, eat fewer calories, consistently, for a long time.

In general, if I am not hungry, I don't eat. If this happens infrequently, you are not going to starve your body or anything like that. If it's happening more frequently, then build more calorie dense foods in throughout the day. If it's the evening and I *am* hungry, and I have 300 cals left, then it is ice cream time.

It works over the long term, not the short term. I eat at a deficit to lose about 1 lb per week. Over a three week span, I find that my weight ticks up slightly or stays steady over the first two weeks and drops way off in the third. One week is not nearly long enough to decide that something is or isn't working.

No. If you have a good bit to lose, then a pound per week. As you get closer, .5 lb per week. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

I use this, and my ham sandwiches have never been bigger

Good luck. There are a lot of good recipe sites/blogs so you should have no trouble finding things to cook. Even though I didn't stick with it, I still found some great recipes that have become staples in our kitchen even after the fact. And yes, it can be very expensive if you decide to go completely organic / free range…

Last fall I did a 2-month paleo challenge. I wasn't 100% strict; about 1 non-paleo meal per week. I did no tracking at all, I just ate whatever paleo approved items I wanted, in whatever quantities I wanted. I lost 15 lbs over the course of the two months. I was decently overweight so I had plenty to lose. It felt pretty…

A definite "no" on taking a scale to restaurants. It's not (as much) that you can't weigh the food, but there's no way to know what's going into it anyway. How much butter, oil, cream, really calorie-dense ingredients. It's not easy to judge the serving-size by eye, but even if you do it's still hard to guess anywhere…

Firstly, good job on making the improvements you already have. I looked through the past few weeks of food plus a few random ones over the past few months. My opinions. 1. I doubt that a big breakfast etc does much as far as metabolism goes. There have probably been studies about this but my opinion has always been that it…
