Couple of walks at work, followed by a very short bike ride.

I've seen folks wearing full plastic face-masks to shop... and my husband has threatened to wear his welding mask... But I hadn't yet seen someone shopping in a motorcycle helmet.

Welcome to MFP! I wouldn't worry about macros too much at first. I've been here forever, and I still only look at the calories. *for me* calories are king - I go crazy trying to reconcile fat/protein/carbs. :) Those are only suggestions anyway, and lots of people either ignore them or shoot for some other percentage/combo.…

30 mile bike ride.

In! My goal is to ride every day - no mileage goal. :) July 01: 10.61 miles July 02: 30.34 miles

Gah! Why are so many folks on Strava?! I've been resisting downloading the app, but my local cycling club uses it and now I find out there is an MFP club too?! Thanks @Sijomial - you may have finally convinced me to switch from MMR to Strava... I wonder if I can run both at the same time while cycling?

I like to see how others are doing - it helps keep me motivated, though I'm not sure why. I don't vet, really. But I don't accept friend requests unless they are accompanied by a message (and I tend to delete inactive friends). I think I have less than 30 'friends' here, and most of them I've had for quite a while.

10 mile bike ride between rain storms. I'm challenging myself to ride every single day for the month of July, even if it's only 10 miles or less.

I'm stocking up on TP for Christmas gifts. Also joking. Kind of. :D

Welcome back.

Did your doctor give you a plan to follow? Good luck. :)

Welcome to MFP!

That is awesome @MaltedTea - and thank you for sharing the pic. Finally felt like doing something today. The past couple of days have been bike rides that were less than 10 miles, but today I tackled a 25 mile hilly ride and it felt awesome. Not sure if I'm going to ride again tomorrow or do my elliptigo for a few miles.

Maybe they did... at least once over the past week? Here in my neck of the woods it's compulsory, though admittedly, my state is not super large (less than 2% of the total population of the US).
-
I did not know that - thank you for sharing. :) OMG! YOU ARE AMAZING! Thank you for sharing this! Definitely this. But totally agree with kshama that I tend to purposely avoid commercials. Now I'm going to go looking for them though. Also: I haven't seen any TP commercials, but your description here made me chuckle.

That's the thing - I didn't have direct exposure that I'm aware of. I got tested at the direction of my doctor due to common ear infection symptoms that also happen to be COVID symptoms (sore throat being one of them). No worries, though - I was just venting. We also have the mandatory 14 day quarantine if you know you are…

Dude. As someone who is paranoid about cyber-security, your tiny URLs are killing me (even though I know that's not necessarily rational). I can only bring myself to click on them because you've been around long enough for me to trust that you're not trying to infect all our computers (go ahead, laugh at me - I laugh at me…
-
Hugs to you @Athijade - the fact that you confront your demons to try to protect others is incredibly brave. So, predictably (since I was pretty sure it was an ear infection), my COVID test came back negative (on Tuesday)... AND my symptoms have mostly gone away as of Monday (thankfully - I was pretty dizzy and tired).…

I didn't find one in Maine, but another story from Missouri. Edited to include the link: https://www.businessinsider.com/two-missouri-hairstylists-with-coronavirus-saw-140-clients-none-infected-2020-6 :expressionless:

Hey y'all - You are doing a great job of keeping political / divisive topics out of this discussion, and I know it's hard to do so especially with all that is going on right now. I have been really impressed with you guys. I just wanted to post a gentle reminder about the guideline that prohibits discussion of divisive…

Huh. Thanks for this. I didn't realize they had already put this on our phones. I wonder when it will go active?
-
@MikePfirrman - thank you for the update on your fire situation. I've been thinking about you, and I'm glad to hear that it shouldn't get much closer to you guys. LOL! :D So, I'm home self-quarantining. I have what I strongly suspect to be an ear infection. Tried to get an appointment to have my ear checked and ended up…
-
@Mockchoc - big hugs. I'm glad things are looking up for you now - sounds like you've been through some serious crap lately. Talked to my mom yesterday, and apparently the antibody test results came back pretty darn fast - she doesn't have antibodies, which I suspected might be the case... but I really would have liked to…

Awesome! I'm glad you've found what works for you. :)

You've got this. :) When I started, the only change I made at first was to make sure to log all of the foods I was eating. Once I had an idea how much I was eating (and it was a LOT), I began making small changes to bring down the total number of calories I was ingesting. Things like beginning to drink my coffee without…
