Losing more weight isn't always necessary (especially if you're at a healthy weight). I think you probably need to do some resistance training/lift heavy weights and add more Protein to your diet. This should help you build muscle. It takes time though.

This thread is too funny. Lol OP, maybe cut out junk food (i.e Burgers, Fries, Pizza etc.) and fizzy drinks/Soda from your diet for the 2 weeks and your stomach may look a bit flatter. I don't know about seeing abs though. ;) Are you pretty lean already?
-
Definitely Nuts. A few handfuls are 100's of calories!
-
Yes, this is what did when i started maintaining. I reached my goal weight, then immediately went from eating 1600 cals to my TDEE of 1900. In fact, i still lost 0.5lb for another 3 weeks after.....so obviously my TDEE is a little higher than 1900. But on average, i now eat around 2100.

She obviously didn't! ;)

Yes, i know. Delboyholmes (who i quoted), implied you had to have 14% body fat or lower as a woman. In brackets he stated 10% for Males. This is what he stated" You could have the best abs in the world but if your body fat percentage isn't below 14% ( 10% for males ) you will never have a six pack.

I started running yesterday too (as opposed to my normal powerwalking) and i found i was going too fast at first. Then i slowed down and it was much better. I also found a Running App which i'm going to start to use 'Personal Running Trainer'. So maybe have a look at a few of the different apps that are around or indeed,…

I had a 6 pack when i was about 20% body fat. I hold most of my fat on my Legs,...so it is definitely possible at more than 14%.

I actually Ran for the first time in years today! I normally Powerwalk (and used to Sprint years ago), but running longish distances is totally different. But after seeing this thread yesterday i thought to myself "let me see if i can run a few miles today". I managed to do about 2 1/2 miles and admittedly did stop a few…

The thing with me is, if i stopped counting cals/logging - but still did the exercise i do now i don't think i would put that much weight on. But, i actually like logging because i can actually see in Black & White WHAT i've been eating. Thus making me more mindful of Macros etc. Not logging,... i'd probably just end up…

Same here. My cat actually does the stretching with me at the end of my Dvd workouts. It's hilarious!

Thank you!

That is an excellent thread! :)

Thanks for the info!

@faithgirlfl So do you just whizz the Peanuts up in a food processor? I didn't even think of making my own peanut butter TBH, it must taste wicked! Lately, i've noticed that the Sun Pat brand that i buy is starting to taste a bit too sweet :/ , so i might try to make my own.
-
I agree with this^^. OP, just have a few slices of Pizza and do some exercise so you can up your calories! 1100 is far too low in the first place, ....1200 is the bare minimum.

Have you Guys found that these Body Pump classes actually build muscle or are they like Cardio with weights? Plus, how much weight do you tend to use?
-
Well i only woke up about an hour ago and i've gone over 30g already! Lol Mind you, i've mostly had Fruit for Breakfast. But i really can't see myself sticking to recommended 30g, as there are so many things i eat that have "hidden sugar". For me personally, it would be very hard to cut sugar out of my diet. I wish i was…

Really impressive! Watched this 3 times. You're fun! Lol Good tune in the background too.

Yes, this^^. I'm a Pear too but have quite broad shoulders, so when looking at me - i don't really look Pear shaped. As others have said, maybe do some weightlifting to broaden your shoulders and try to incorporate some Lunges and Squats, to firm up your Legs.

@PatriciaGentileschi Maybe try your Local Leisure Centre. They're normally cheaper than Private Gyms. https://www.google.co.uk/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=EJOiVKqAC8KB7QaAxYG4BA#safe=active&q=leisure+centres+london

Yes, i agree with this^^.

Only just read that link. Very interesting!

Ah right. So basically eating at maintenance or above. Gotcha.

Usually a Pear (like myself) will be leaner on the top half of the body...slim arms, smaller chest, flat/ish stomach with bigger thighs and butt. An Apple will have slim Legs and sometimes slim arms, but be bigger around the chest and stomach. (Maybe an Apple shaped Lady can correct me if i'm wrong). The good thing (i…

What is regarded as a Proper diet though? I eat fairly healthy throughout the week (i.e home cooked meals) at maintenance, have also upped my protein (0.8 x my actual weight). But at the weekends, i tend to eat some kind of fast food and maybe some alcohol. I wouldn't have thought that would be a hinderance though (?).
-
@msf74 Thanks for the info. I'd have preferrred a more "layman's terms" explanation Lol,....but i kinda get the drift.
-
Yep, exactly this^^^. Just continue logging as normal and by the time your next weigh in comes around, you'll be fine.
-
Now Battenburg is my worst kind of cake. Lol.... Give me a doughnut any day (even though it's not really a cake ;) ). Don't feel bad about eating sweet stuff,....i eat Chocolate or some kind of Sweets (Candy) every day. As long as it fits within your calorie count, no worries!
-
Yep this^^^. Eating a few handfuls of Nuts and a couple Teaspoons of Peanut Butter will up your calories very easily!
