Can you put them in the freezer?? Or get out of the house ASAP!!!

 Not me - I'm an MFP addict! BTW - curious, what did the e-mail say?
-
Why not have both? I like to spike my apple cider with a touch of dark rum..... Make sure one of you is DD and hubby can stick to the hot chocolate!

Yes it does! If you log in your updated weight - it will adjust for that. The change may be small (or no change) if your weight loss is a couple of pounds, but the idea is the smaller you are, the fewer calories you need to maintain your weight.

Did everyone get a chance to read it?? This was my first Paulo Coelho book (he has written many others such as The Witch of Portobello, etc.) and I have to say I enjoyed it. It was not a hard read, but it was filled with a lot of profound topics. I'm going to post some of the topics or thoughts brought up in this book, and…

   Good one! Ok, I have a real "nude beach" story. When I was in high school, my best friend and I loved to go body boarding every weekend at Rincon Beach (Santa Barbara, CA). One day she told me that there was (what I thought she said) a new beach down the road. Me: "A new beach?" Her: "Yeah - it's…

I feel your pain! I also have three kids, and it can be just insane at times. My husband is in law school at nights, so I'm alone with the kids most nights (thank god for work - what would I do without my 8-5 vacation from my kids  ) but there are days I just want to crawl in the closet and let them fend for…

Congrats!! What will you be doing? :flowerforyou:

Can you work the night-time schedule out with your husband? For example, he gets up with the baby MWF, so you can sleep (thus can get up early and workout). If you are still breastfeeding, you can pump so he can feed the baby.

I used to love Stephen King - read all his (good) stuff. In recent times, I've diversified (lol) and the most recent book that scared the crap out of me (and I don't knock easily) was House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. The way it is written, and the format - it just - wow. If you are a horror-story person - this is a…

I don't think this is super weird, but I LOVE to spread goat cheese and cranberry-orange relish on a whole wheat pita - loving the salty-tangy combo! Also the other day I bought some dark chocolate that was infused with lavender and dried blueberries - pretty interesting. Finally, there is this fabulous pizza place by the…

Hi! I know what you mean - I'm a full-time working mother of three kids (if DH counts, then 4 kids  ). Throw an hour commute into that mix - and it makes for a very busy week, but it is doable. I wake up at 4 AM, and 4-4:30 AM is "me time", then I pack up and hit the pool and swim from 5:30-6:30 AM, hit the showers…

Dancing!! Put on some oldies, and let 'er rip!

All of my dietary items on MFP go up automatically when I add my exercise calories - sodium included. When you workout, you sweat and lose sodium - thus you need more. I think it kind of makes sense...

Interesting! Thanks for explaining that. Another question - do you feel it is better to have 2 dogs, rather than one - so they can keep eachother company while you are gone at work? I've thought about getting a smaller dog (to keep in the house), but I don't want it chewing up everything and peeing all over the carpet…
-
I don't know much about dogs - but does docking their tails mean cutting it off? I think I heard about that - why do you do that? And why remove their dew claws? Just curious.

You can always be proactive - and e-mail them all and say that you've chosen "X" restuarant to celebrate your weight loss, and ask what time that works for everyone.

Now THAT is too frickin' CUTE - I just want to squeeze him! Awwwwwww....:smooched:

 We did that last year - used a bridesmaid dress for an Angel costume (an expensive Vera Wang dress - I figured it should go out with a bang, since it was not going to get worn again  ). Sure enough - it came home dirty, torn and ready for the Goodwill! We found angel wings at a Spirit Halloween Store (do you…

Yes - that's it! :smooched:

OMG - I forgot about the pseudo-camel things with the mystery white stuff!!!     I DO like Mary Jane's and that Honey Bee candy-thing (I can't remember what it's called).

I can see both sides of this.... I think if it were just a group of friends getting together - then it might be unrealistic to expect them to search for a place that has calorie counts, and be "food-wise." In these cases, I just go and eat the least evil thing I can find  But since this was specifically a…

You are!

I LOVE the Medusa idea - totally cool! I should dress up too - but just can't seem to figure out something for myself

DD = Dear Daughter DS = Dear Son DH = Dear (Darn - depending on your mood  ) Husband ....just internet lingo

My oldest DD (9) will be a fairy. I bought large butterfly wings for her, and she will wear a dress - put sparkles on her face, and do her hair. Easy! My middle DD (7) wants to be a polar bear (she always picks something totally random - two years ago she wanted to be a fruit bat :noway: ), so (once again) I'll be making…

I can't STAND those peanut-butter taffy things - ya know, they come in orange and black wrappers. Bleeech. My kids do like the toys - yo-yo's, balls, etc.

The neat thing about the crockpot is - you really can't go wrong (with a few exceptions) - you can throw just about ANYTHING in there, and it turns out pretty darn good. A couple websites: http://crockpot.cdkitchen.com/recipes/ http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ And I bought a slow cooker recipe book called: "not your…

   NewMK - I checked out your profile pictures, and you look lovely (no reverse bobble head doll there!) I get you on the feet thing though - I'm only 5'4", but I wear a 9 in running/hiking shoes - some times a 10, depending on the brand. I'm also doubly cursed because my feet are WIDE - like flippers…

I try to live by a "clean-eating" philosophy - but that doesn't mean I don't also have "unclean food" The biggest things for me were: - Making all my food from home, and from scratch if possible (so I make our bread, tortillas, etc.) - Buy fresh veggies/fruits (Farmer Markets, etc.) - No soda (I have not had soda…
