Good morning. I have not been on hear in quite some time. My mother passed in July,unexpectly. In August I had strep and a sinus infection, which led to bronchitis. A great way to hold in moisture is to use the LOC method. Liquid = water or some other leave in spray, O= oil, I use evoo, C=cream , I use cantu shea butter mixture. My daughter's hair is more porus than mine. She love the coconut oil for her hair. We only comb our hair when it is wet, preferably when we are in the shower.…

Co-washing was the best thing that happened to my hair. I also love to pre-poo. I use sauve conditioner and one t. of olive oil mixed together. I saturate my hair with this and cover it with a plastic cap. I wear it for a minimum of one hour. You can look it up on youtube.

It seems that we have alot in common. I am a former early childcare provider and Director. I've been in early childhood since 1989. I am now supervising the early intervention program for our state. I am 50+ with arthritis. I could use the encouragement. I walk twice a day at work. One mile each time.

I use sauve conditioner mixed with olive oil as a pre-poo. I cover it with a plastic cap and leave it on as long as possible. No less than one hour and at times I sleep with it on. I does wonders. Then I either shampoo with a sulphate free shampoo or co-wash my hair.

I'm 49, on the brink of 50. I started informally in January and begin mfp l or 2 months ago, I don't remember. I'm avg. 1lb per week now. It took me months to get there. I'd love to encourage you and to be encouraged. Feel free to add me as a friend.
