I dunno, 40 year old me thinks that 30 year old me was a right git. And both 40 year old me and 30 year old me wonder how 20 year old me managed to put pants on every day. And 20 year old me would probably hate both 30 year old me and 40 year old me for being "Older and Wiser". And 60 year old me is yelling at all three to…

Ah, the Justice Potter Stewart definition.

I used to be the one who would be bad about taking my BP medicine. I wouldn't not take it purposely, I'd just forget. My wife would rage, cajole, plead, use logical explanations, whatever. None of it worked. Until one day, it did. I just woke up and said "You know self, you've been right stupid about this medicine thing.…

You're entitled to your (wrong) opinion. ;)

Oh God I just had flashbacks to "completing the process" and other tomfoolery but that happened in 2010 not 2012 so I'm not as upset now. Please excuse me while I go breathe into a paper sack for a bit. :)

Well, let me just say... Hmmm... Dang. Got me.

Same here.

I actually just downloaded happy scale. It seems really nice.

103. I'm not even sure I could hit 199 TBH, but I'll never know if I don't give it the ol' college try.

Today I learned that Physics isn't science.

Calorie Deficit is most important. Exercise is great, and you should do it, and it will help generate a calorie deficit but it's more for general health than weight loss. That said, I love Barbell days. Cardio is meh.

I sweat when I think it's sunny outside. I wish it were an indicator of effort in my case, I wouldn't be so portly. :)

That's so hard to answer. I find that I am more motivated to workout when I have to drive to the gym. I couldn't tell you why that is, but the evidence presented by all the coat racks workout equipment I have bought & sold over the years tells me it's true. Since I've gotten that gym membership though, I'm there 5-7 times…

Gosh, the beer is probably cleaner right out of the bottle. Who knows where that glass has been?

Down 45 lbs with walking being the majority of my exercise. Just added strength training 3 weeks ago.

Same, without the soda. I just ate portions that were too large, but never really binged

I'm going to tonight. I have the energy for day 6 this week. :)

I believe in you.

The CPAP didn't help me with weight loss. Have had it for years. I did feel better though. I'm hoping the weight loss will help the CPAP more than the other way.

Mine went up too when I started lifting again. What was worse was for the first week or so, walking felt weird. Like all my leg muscles were attached in a slightly different place than they should be. It was really odd.
-
Yeah. It could be. Your muscles can retain water after a new workout. It'll go away.

I picked 250 to start, a nice even 100lbs lost. When I get there, I'll reassess and pick a new goal.

I didn't trust my Fitbit at first, but after a few weeks of my calculated deficit and my actual weight loss being +\- 10% of each other I've started putting a bit more faith in what it tells me. I trust it, but I'll continue to verify.

Amen.
