You should be very proud, you've made huge accomplishments!

Well if I ate it, I would bloat up quickly. My body's sensitive to carbs as some people may be and my body senses it as empty carbohydrates/calories and I gain so I avoid it. I've asked my Asian friends that question and some replied "it's because they eat such a small amount and base their meal mostly on fish and other…

LOL that's bad. The person I emailed was older, so they must've thought their notifications tab that popped up meant it was on their wall. p.s. I would love to play that trick on someone I need ideas...hmmm.

My gastro and doctors clarified that if you go once every few days it's good...lol. I had asked because I thought that every other day or third day was normal but then my sister informed me that you go daily or every meal and I thought she was nuts. Most peeps strive for daily it's good for you to not have it sit in there…

Great rant, love it! There is no perfect way to parent or set way to be a "mother", you just be you and your child will love you for that. Your child won't grow up and wish she had someone different. My daughter for instance is dark and I am light so I would never ever want her to be embarassed of her "pale" mom but be…

Awesome goals and good job on the wt. loss!

A few things: A "real" trip away, like Hawaii with the hubby with new bathing suit. When I get to my goal weight I will also do these things; be proud to get lots of my pictures taken Go zip lining and jet skiing with my family run 5k, do push ups, and pull ups wear a hot dress, with heels.
-
OMG you just reminded me that I wanted some costumes off Etsy when I'm to my goal weight, probably vintage dress of some sort for Halloween or something.

That sounds about right. I usually spend 250$ a month per person in my family and we do a lot of organic, from scratch, gluten-free and dairy-free as much as possible. But that's 1000$ a month in my family! So I think that I have it down to more like $150-200 per month per person now. But that includes necessities; razors,…

I coupon, I shop at discount grocery stores, I plan inexpensive meals but I find it hard to live on less than $600 per month for a family of four. I cook from scratch as well and we are gluten and dairy-free so that is more expensive. I need to eat a lot of protein, as well for my thyroid (animal protein). My ideas would…

You look amazing!

Leftovers from the night before Omelets/quiche or mini quiche in cupcake pan Gluten-free cornbread with 100% beef, uncured hot dogs cut up in them (sweetened with honey) Smoothies of all kinds, berries, acai puree, hazelnut milk, protein powder, spinach, etc. Yogurt with granola Gluten-free toast with jam or honey,…

My family was addicted to diet soda, but I got them a Sodastream (bubbly water maker) so now we make bubbly water and a splash of some sort of juice like grape, cranberry, apple or something and it tastes like you're having soda! Original poster: Great job!

all it is is the sodium from the restaurant food that will go away once flushed out of system at least that's my opinion.

I do and I never gain weight from it...it helps I swear if I DON'T have a cheat day that I have a more difficult time with weight loss.
-
Mind over matter.

I stay up way too late and then get too little of sleep by the time my little one needs to go to school. I spend my days; working out cleaning running errands grocery shopping cooking (we have tons of food allergies in our house, so it is from scratch usually) dishes picking up and dropping off my kids (daughter in…

You didn't say how long it took you to lose that two pounds was it over 6 months?
-
This.... You can be any size/weight and be curvy. Curvy should not be used to describe an overweight person, though because there are a lot of apple shapes, straight, flat-butt overweight people, etc.

Thanks.

Hmmm maybe I'll just do half of one at a time. The reason I ask is because I eat a lot of avocados thinking they were mostly a good fat, but didn't realize they were so high in carbs, and I've had a stall for a month.

Your levels can be perfect and you can still have symptoms. Some docs out there treat symptoms only or treat symptoms first and then use labs and other methods to figure out the intricate and delicate web that is our thyroid.
-
Yes you are right with all those other symptoms including low b12, low b vitamins, low zinc and a number of other problems/issues even urinating several times during the night (getting up to go often at night). This is why I would love to become a Holistic Health Coach...soon...very soon!

If any doctor says or makes you feel like a hypochondriac- run. You are paying them! I went from a good athlete, fit, high-functioning person to at age 24; 80-85 SYMPTOMS at one time! No joke...I thought I had cancer. Went to doc after doc (you're fine, you look great, you're just tired from having a child, etc.). ..I…

This is wrong. A lot of doctor's offices have old ranges like 5.0 and up is hypothyroid, but the newer guidelines are actually 3.0. I was misdiagnosed for YEARS and tried so many different doctors. Also my thyroid was going up and down (burning out) and it was difficult to "catch" out of range. I now KNOW my body/labs and…

Great job! Mine is 1 month plateau less than two and half months into it! WTH? lol. You eat like me, except the Morning Star patties, they have soy and that blocks my thyroid hormone, slows my metabolism to a stop, so it's a no-go for those for me and most people (although some can eat soy alright).
